While looking for a nice-atmosphere restaurant in Cheongdam-dong, I ended up at Pepite Cheongdam (PÉPITE CHEONGDAM) — and it had been a while since I found a place that satisfied me on food, space, and service all at once.

I wasn't just there for a meal — I was there to spend special time with good company, and it turned out even better than I expected.
Pepite Cheongdam location and parking — walking distance from Apgujeongrodeo Station, valet available
Pepite Cheongdam sits on Dosan-daero 85-gil, so it's pretty accessible. It's close to Apgujeongrodeo Station for public transit, and there's valet parking right in front of the restaurant, so driving there isn't a hassle either.
You can enjoy a relaxed meal in that particular upscale Cheongdam-dong atmosphere, which makes it well suited for a date or an anniversary dinner too.
Pepite caught my eye from the outside. The warm orange exterior, antique wooden door, and green plants come together in a way that felt like stepping into a small European restaurant.
Out front there's a stylish parasol and terrace space that's great for photos, and overall it fits right in with the refined vibe Cheongdam-dong is known for.

There's also a menu displayed at the entrance so you can check it before going in,

and the valet parking service for customers arriving by car was convenient. Parking isn't easy in Cheongdam-dong, but the valet guidance was clear enough that even a first-time visitor wouldn't feel stressed.

Pepite's private room and seating — bar table and hall table
Walking inside, the first thing that caught my eye was the private room with its classic European-style interior. The space felt upscale and the mood was really nice. A European-style arched art wall paired with a chandelier gave it a special feel, and being a separate, enclosed space made it great for quietly enjoying a meal and conversation. I'd recommend it for a family gathering, a date, or a small get-together.

A crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, and together with the wall lighting it created a soft, upscale atmosphere.

The seating layout was satisfying too. There were bar table seats where you can watch the chef cook up close, along with hall table seats for a more relaxed meal.

The bar seats seemed great for a date, and the table seats were good for a relaxed conversation, making the place suitable for various kinds of gatherings.
The tables were spaced generously too, so I could focus on the meal without being bothered by neighboring seats, and the overall atmosphere stayed quiet enough for conversation.

The wine display was arranged tastefully, and the large wine cellar held a wide variety of wines — something wine lovers would probably appreciate.

What the aged cod steak tasted like
Pepite lunch menu info
What I ordered that day was the Aged Cod Steak and an iced Americano. When you hear "steak" you usually think of beef, so a steak made with cod sounded interesting enough that I decided to order it.

The moment the dish arrived, the plating was the first thing that grabbed my attention. It was arranged as neatly as a piece of art, with every ingredient placed in harmony, and just looking at it built up the anticipation.

Aged cod was clearly different from an ordinary fish dish. Having gone through an aging process, the moisture had been drawn out just enough and the umami had deepened, so the flesh was firm on the outside while staying moist and tender inside.
The first bite spread a clean yet deep flavor across my mouth, with no fishiness at all — very clean to eat.

The combination of tomato relish, cauliflower sauce, and charred spinach
The seafood on the side, including mussels, added a subtle briny aroma and umami, blending with the creamy sauce to complete an even deeper flavor.
The tomato relish served alongside was especially memorable. Its sweet-and-sour tomato flavor mingled with the clean-tasting cod and made the whole dish feel fresher. It gave some liveliness to what could otherwise have been a plain fish dish.
The cauliflower sauce underneath the plate was excellent too. Its soft, creamy texture with a subtle nuttiness naturally supported the cod's flavor. It wasn't overpowering, so it rounded out the balance of the dish without stepping on the main ingredient.
Charred spinach added depth on top of that. The lightly charred spinach carried a subtle smoky note, and its faint bitterness paired well with the clean-tasting cod. It was impressive how each element came together as one dish rather than sitting apart.

After the meal, I sipped an iced Americano and just relaxed for a while. Between the clean coffee taste and the upscale space, the time flew by. :)

Cleanliness and amenities — hangers, a basket for belongings, restrooms
Another thing I remembered was how clean and well-equipped the place was. The wine glasses and tableware were neatly kept,
and there was a wooden hanger for coats along with a basket for storing personal belongings.
The restroom in particular was really well kept. Angel-wing objects and mood lighting made it feel like a little photo zone,
and the area around the sink was kept just as clean. Hand wash, hand towels, a diffuser, and even flower decorations were all carefully arranged — you could tell a lot of thought went into every corner of the space.

Wrap-up — who this is for
Overall, Pepite wasn't just a restaurant serving good food — it was a place where the space, service, and atmosphere all came together as one experience. The European-flavored interior, the standout cod steak, the attentive service, and the convenient valet parking all added up to a satisfying visit.
If you're looking for a nice-atmosphere restaurant in Cheongdam-dong, planning a special Gangnam date, or hunting for a classy spot for a Gangnam get-together, I'd recommend this one with confidence. If you want a meal to remember on a special day, take some unhurried time at Pepite Cheongdam.
