Vacation shoulder rattan bag with zipper: Meda Bag

While preparing for a Southeast Asia trip, I looked for a bag to carry with my summer clothes. The one I chose was the Meda Bag Shoulder Rattan Bag. I have not used it at the destination yet, so I gathered my thoughts from receiving it and trying it on.

What were the price and package like?

The price was around ₩10,000 when the original post was written, and mine arrived two days after I ordered it. I was happy with it since the price was not too burdensome.

The basic package is one bag, but the one I received also came with earrings as a gift. I wanted to style them with the rattan bag.

What did the brown color look like in person?

I chose brown over beige. It was not too dark, seemed like it would go well with lots of outfits, and I thought marks would be less noticeable, too. When I received it, the color was also similar to a deep beige, which made me like it even more.

Can it hold plenty of things and zip closed?

It is quite large, so I thought it would be great as a bag for carrying lots of things. The size stated in the original post is 40 cm wide and 60 cm long. It seemed able to hold most things with ease.

I also liked that it opens and closes with a zipper. On a trip, I could put in my wallet and belongings and keep the opening closed, which felt a little more reassuring.

Was it comfortable on bare shoulders with sleeveless tops?

Because it is a shoulder style, it was easy to wear over my shoulder. The strap had some thickness, and the part that meets the shoulder was finished in soft fabric. I could wear it comfortably with sleeveless tops, too.

I was disappointed with a rattan bag I bought in Southeast Asia before because it smelled strange or seemed to wear out quickly. So this time, I looked for a reasonably priced product in Korea. When I received the Meda Bag, the weave looked sturdy, and I liked that the strap had some thickness, too.

What summer outfits did it go well with?

Although it is brown, the color is not overly dark, so it worked with all kinds of outfits. I wanted to use it not only with vacation looks, but also casually slung over a T-shirt and shorts.

After receiving the bag, it was also fun looking for clothes to wear with it. A friend who is going on the trip with me saw my bag and bought one, too. I chose it planning to use it on the trip, but I thought I could carry it often in everyday summer life as well.
