Herbal tablets for congestion, 2-week test: Tokyo Meta Gold Phyto
In short
Tokyo Meta Gold Phyto Sambakcho Extract Maekmundong Tablets are herbal tablets I tried in Korea for seasonal nasal congestion and runny nose. I took them once each evening for more than two weeks; they were easy to swallow and mildly bitter, but any improvement in morning congestion was gradual and incomplete.

Why did I try sambakcho tablets?
During seasonal changes, my nose felt stuffy every morning, and I often reached for tissues at work because of a runny nose. When sneezing followed, the day felt even more tiring. I became interested because it contains Korean sambakcho, so I tried Tokyo Meta Gold Phyto Sambakcho Extract Maekmundong Tablets.

What were the tablet size, taste, and swallowability like?
When I opened the box, I found small tablets that were well packaged. They were light brown, with a subtle grassy scent when held close to my nose.

They were easy to swallow with water. When I dissolved one in warm water, it felt like a light herbal tea, and the bitterness was not strong, so it was less off-putting than I expected. I liked that the tablets were not large and dissolved well in water.

How did I take them, and how did I feel after two weeks?
I took them once a day in the evening, after showering, dissolved in warm water. Because I had heard that sambakcho has a cooling nature, I only took them after meals.
After about a week, I honestly did not notice a major change—just a sense that my body felt a little more comfortable. Once I passed two weeks, I felt that my nose was not completely blocked when I woke up in the morning. I also seemed to need to blow my nose less immediately after getting up.
My sneezing and congestion did not disappear. In my experience, it was less that my condition changed all at once and more that the stuffiness I felt because of my nose gradually eased a little.
Was it easy to carry, and what were the downsides of continuing?
With Korean sambakcho, maekmundong, jujube, and ginger included together, it felt like I was taking care of several ingredients at once. Its compact size made it easy to bring to work, and I worried less about tablets breaking when I carried a few in a pouch. Personally, I found tablets more convenient than a strong-smelling liquid.
However, dissolving them in warm water could feel inconvenient. I did not notice a change after just a day or two, either. The price felt reasonable to me for a product using Korean ingredients, but if I continued taking it for a long time, I would want to consider promotions or bundle discounts.
I developed a habit of taking them with a glass of water in the evening. For the time being, I planned to continue while paying attention to how my body felt.
