Atmosphere at Aimer Gyodae Station branch: good for dates and blind dates?
The entrance is so modern it stops you in your tracks! It's well known as a Gyodae Station pasta restaurant and I'd been curious, so I went on a weekend date.
Inside, the minimalist, casual white-toned interior stood out. So stylish!
The little decorations placed around the room made me feel how much love the owners have for the place.
There are about 8 tables, and I liked how wide the spacing is between them. Perfect distance for chatting on a date or blind date!
It's an open kitchen, and the clean look of it had me satisfied even before eating.
I also liked that every seat has a spot to put your bag.

We chose the sous-vide pork jowl, the sweet corn gnocchi and the truffle white ragu pasta. When everything looks good, the golden rule is three dishes for two.. ^_^
Sous-vide pork jowl (₩26,000)
The sous-vide pork jowl at Aimer Gyodae Station branch was outstandingly juicy. I liked that you get a lot of meat for the price, and
the mashed potatoes and mushrooms served with it added to the dish's charm!
Lean meat and fat are nicely balanced, so anyone who loves pork jowl will be happy with this.
Sweet corn gnocchi (₩23,000), the best dish at Aimer Gyodae Station branch
Gnocchi is hard to find even at good Western restaurants, and the fresh pairing with chodang corn (a sweet Korean corn) made me pick it.
I wasn't expecting much, but the first bite was so crispy outside and chewy inside that I was shocked. It's the best gnocchi I've ever had, so it's my pick for the best dish at Aimer Gyodae Station branch!!
The corn is nicely grilled too, with a slight crispy texture, and it's cut so it's easy to eat. Gnocchi, sweet corn and arugula in one bite is pure happiness!
Truffle white ragu pasta (₩19,000)
If you love truffle, you have to try the truffle white ragu pasta at Aimer Gyodae Station branch. The truffle flavor came through really well, with plenty of real truffle and truffle oil.
The pasta has meat in it too, so the texture is great. It also went well with the pork jowl.
Hidden perks at Aimer Gyodae Station branch: napa cabbage pickles and glass wine
A huge plus at Aimer Gyodae Station branch: ask for the napa cabbage pickles! A Western restaurant tailored to Koreans >.<
Lured by the lovely mood, we also ordered 2 glasses of wine, and the staff's attention to detail was impressive: they checked the glass for dust before pouring.
Both the red and the white weren't sweet and had a decent alcohol level, so they went well with the food.

⚡️ Warning! On a date or blind date, it's so delicious you might end up eating everything in sight. But being so happy from the great food might bring a couple even closer.
