Because I have dry skin, I pay close attention to post-wash tightness when choosing cleansing products. I used this while checking whether my skin felt overly dry as it removed makeup and sunscreen.
How did the balm texture melt on the skin?
When I first opened HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal Jojoba Seed Oil Moisturizing Cleansing Balm, its black balm texture stood out. I scooped some out with my fingers, applied it to my skin, and rubbed it in; it melted softly with body heat and spread easily, with a smooth rolling feel.
On days when I wore makeup, I first massaged it over my whole face to melt everything down, then paid a little more attention around my nose. On days when I wore only sunscreen, I rolled it lightly over my face.
How did I use it when nose-area sebum bothered me?
On areas where sebum concerned me, such as around the nose, the nostrils, and the chin, I relaxed my fingertips and rolled slowly in circular motions. With continued use, the area around my nose felt a little cleaner, but that does not mean blackheads disappeared completely after a single use.
Rather than squeezing with my hands or using a harsh scrub, I used it by gently rolling it over those areas.
How did I emulsify it?
After thoroughly melting makeup and impurities with the balm, I lightly wet my hands and massaged again. Once the texture felt as though it had changed smoothly, I rinsed with lukewarm water. I found it more satisfying to add water little by little to emulsify it before finishing.
How did dry skin feel after washing?
My skin tends to feel tight soon after washing if I do not apply skincare right away. On days I used this product, the tightness after washing felt relatively less pronounced, leaving my skin feeling comfortable and moisturized.
