Jayang-dong Korean BBQ weekday dinner, three cuts à la carte: Ssamchae
Ssamchae Sotttukkeong Samgyeopsal is a Korean BBQ restaurant in the Jayang Haneul Bercite apartment complex near Guui Station in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. On a weekday evening the writer skipped the set menus and ordered iron-lid pork belly 200g, kkodeulsal 150g (chewy pork cut) and pork jowl 150g à la carte, plus two servings of iron-lid fried rice, with staff cutting and grilling the meat and unlimited refills of wrap greens and side dishes. Between the savoury fried rice mixed with vegetables and the greens table, Ssamchae Sotttukkeong Samgyeopsal suits anyone who eats their pork in ssam (leaf wraps).
