If you're looking for a great Korean BBQ spot in Jongno 3-ga, try Cham Dwaejitgan Jongno Main Branch (참돼짓간 종로본점). I went to Jongno to look for wedding rings, and it was so hot that we ducked in to restore our strength. The pork neck was so tender and tasty that I was totally satisfied. Any couples heading out to order or pick up wedding rings, come eat meat at Cham Dwaejitgan~!

Cham Dwaejitgan Jongno Main Branch is just 30 m from Exit 6 of Jongno 3-ga Station, so it's really easy to find. It uses Jirisan black pork and Boseong green-feed pork. The meat quality lives up to the name, so if you're looking for a great meat place in Jongno, I can say it's definitely this one haha
Come out of Jongno 3-ga Station at Exit 2-1 and it's on the right side of the alley. It's really right next door, so you'll find it quickly haha. There's a big structure out front, so it really stands out.
How does the pork neck taste, and what does the meat cost?
The pork neck at Cham Dwaejitgan Jongno Main Branch is honestly the best. It stayed juicy as I chewed, and the tender texture was different from other BBQ places. Jirisan black pork belly is ₩19,000 and Boseong pork belly (cham samgyeopsal) is ₩16,000, and considering the quality, the prices make sense.
The sauce lineup is great too, with salt, ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), wasabi and spicy sauce, plus pickles (jangajji), garlic and chili peppers so you can mix and match to your taste.

Yes, the staff at Cham Dwaejitgan Jongno Main Branch grill all the meat for you. This was really convenient. When you're chatting while grilling, things sometimes burn and you have to keep an eye on it, right? Here you don't worry about that and just eat, so it's perfect for a group dinner.
The ventilation is good too, so we could enjoy the meal comfortably without worrying about smoke smell.

Cham Dwaejitgan Jongno Main Branch is spacious and clean. The spacing between tables is decent too, so it works well for group gatherings and company dinners. Since we were already out in Jongno, we gathered in small groups to eat, and the atmosphere was really great haha
It's in Jongno 3-ga, so access is easy from anywhere. Even apart from groups, there were all kinds of customers.

The Jirisan kudzu cold noodles (mul naengmyeon) at Cham Dwaejitgan are ₩7,000 and are just right to finish off the meat. Cold noodles after BBQ on a hot day is a truly perfect combo. We ordered three sides, haha. Piggy couple 🐷
The giant steamed egg (gyeran-jjim) looked insane, and the spicy doenjang stew (soybean paste stew) made the drinks go down so easily haha. The kudzu noodles!! Super tasty, so chewy. It was hot summer, so I mixed up a somaek (soju and beer) too, hehe.

Try the pork belly as a potato wrap
Perfect pork belly!!! There was a note at Cham Dwaejitgan Jongno Main Branch telling you to eat it in a potato wrap, so I made one, and isn't this an insane combo? The owner here is a total munching expert;; I added extra ssam (leaf wraps) too. At this point, do I get recognized as a munching master's-degree holder?
The minari (water dropwort) is so good too! Officially a top pork belly spot in Jongno!
