Seoul Korean BBQ last order and reservation limits: Jeongyukdo
In short
Jeongyukdo is a Korean BBQ restaurant serving Hanwoo beef and Korean pork on the second floor of a building on Yanghwa-ro 6-gil, 91m from Hapjeong Station Exit 5 in Mapo, Seoul. Two friends ordered the pork specialty cuts set (65,000 won) — pork jowl, gabrisal collar and galmaegisal skirt meat — and picked Hanwoo beef doenjang stew as the set's side choice. The fat and texture of each cut were clearly different, so Jeongyukdo suits anyone who wants to compare several pork cuts on one grill.

Today I'll introduce Jeongyukdo (정육도), a Korean BBQ restaurant near Hapjeong Station that I visited with a friend because we wanted delicious meat, cut by cut‼️

I've put together everything you might want to know before visiting — from what I ordered and the prices, to the store's atmosphere and how to make a Naver reservation 😝
Where is Jeongyukdo, and what are its last order and booking limits?
Jeongyukdo is on the 2nd floor at 14 Yanghwa-ro 6-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, 91m from Hapjeong Station Exit 5. Last order is 21:30 Monday through Saturday, and 20:30 on Sundays, and Naver reservations are available.
- 📍 Location: 14 Yanghwa-ro 6-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, 2nd floor Jeongyukdo, South Korea
- 🚇 Transit: 91m from Hapjeong Station Exit 5, about a 12-minute walk
- ⏰ Last order: Mon–Sat 21:30 / Sunday 20:30
- 📞 Reservations: Available via Naver Reservation
(Hours may change on public holidays or during Korean holiday seasons, so please double-check Naver Place on the day of your visit. Regular reservations run from 1 to 22 people, and if you're a group of 5–6, you can also book the private 6-person room separately!)

It's an easy walk from Hapjeong Station, and there's a pork set with fresh ribs, flower collar, and pork belly all together, which was great for when we wanted to try a little of several cuts.

Inside Jeongyukdo: a relaxed grill house with brick walls
🪵 Inside, Jeongyukdo is decorated with brick walls and dark-colored seating, giving it a calmer feel than a typical BBQ place‼️
Each table has its own ventilation system, and there's plenty of seating, so it looked great for everything from a dinner for two to friend gatherings, family meals out, or company dinners!

Once you're seated, they set out the basic side dishes like this — pickled onions, shredded scallion salad, and pickles served individually per person! Jeongyukdo was apparently featured on Live Broadcast Today (생방송투데이) episode 3661 on December 2, 2024, in a segment about pork belly, so it's said to be a well-known spot‼️
They sell not just pork but 1++ No.9 hanwoo beef as well, which made it easy to pick a menu even when everyone in our group preferred different meats 🥹

Do you see this gorgeous meat...✨💗 It came out on a wooden tray with a label, like something from a butcher shop. Three kinds of meat plus large king oyster mushrooms and scallions were arranged together on one tray, and seeing the whole spread before grilling looked so delicious‼️
Each cut had clearly different color, fat distribution, and shape, so it was fun comparing them as we ate. I'd really recommend this set to anyone who wants to experience pork's variety of textures rather than sticking to familiar cuts like pork belly.

What we ordered: the 65,000-won pork specialty cuts set
💳 What I ate that day was Jeongyukdo's pork specialty cuts set ☺
- ✅ Pork specialty cuts set ₩65,000
- • Contents: pork jowl + skirt meat + outer skirt
- • Set side choice: hanwoo beef doenjang stew
We chose hanwoo beef doenjang stew (된장찌개) as our set side. Pork jowl, skirt meat, and outer skirt each had different fat levels and chew, so even on one plate the flavors weren't monotonous haha.

The grill was wide, so it was easy to fit the meat, mushrooms, and scallions on it together. Grilling each cut a little at a time in turns, I could naturally compare the nuttiness of the pork jowl, the tenderness of the skirt meat, and the chewiness of the outer skirt haha. The king oyster mushroom was slow-cooked whole and then sliced, which was great to eat alongside the meat ☺

How pork jowl, gabrisal and galmaegisal tasted different
Pork jowl (hangjeongsal)
Pork jowl had fat woven tightly through the lean meat, giving it the strongest nutty flavor of the three cuts. Grilled golden on the outside, the edges were slightly chewy, and the more you chewed, the more rich, fatty flavor came through. Cut into bite-size pieces with a little salt or wasabi — heaven.
Pork collar (gabrisal)
Skirt meat had less fat than pork jowl and chewed more softly. It was a relatively easy cut for anyone who finds overly fatty meat too much, with a light, moist quality.
Pork skirt meat (galmaegisal)
Outer skirt came out as a long strip, which we cut into bite-size pieces for grilling. Of the three cuts, it had the clearest firm, chewy texture, and it was best eaten right when the surface was cooked rather than left on the grill too long, or it got tough.

Set side choice: meljeot anchovy dip or Hanwoo doenjang stew?
🍲 Ordering the pork specialty cuts set at Jeongyukdo lets you choose between anchovy sauce hot pot (멜젓) or hanwoo beef doenjang stew, and we went with the doenjang stew. It came out hot in a black stone pot, with tofu and vegetables inside.
After eating the fattier specialty cuts, it was nice to have a spoonful of hot broth in between, and it worked well to finish the meal with rice too. If you like dipping meat like a sauce, go for the meljeot; if you want warm broth and rice, the hanwoo doenjang stew is the way to go.

Indoor hall or outdoor patio — where should you sit at Jeongyukdo?
Maybe because the weather was cool, a lot of people outside Jeongyukdo were enjoying the outdoor patio! We ate in the comfortable indoor hall, but if you like a patio vibe, you'd probably enjoy that atmosphere too haha.

It's very accessible, close to Hapjeong Station Exit 5, and it was convenient being able to choose between the regular hall and the private room depending on your purpose. If you're looking for a great-atmosphere, delicious Korean BBQ place in Hapjeong, I recommend Jeongyukdo 🔥👍🏻
