Magok Mexican restaurant for a blind date: shrimp enchilada, Taqueros
In short
Taqueros (타케로스) is a Mexican taco and fajita restaurant on the 2nd floor of Magok GMG Tower in Magok, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. Scouting a blind-date spot, the writer ordered the Signature Couple Set for 2 (56,000 won) plus a chipotle shrimp enchilada (22,900 won) and especially liked the BBQ-flavored fajita meat and the cheese hidden inside the enchilada. With easy parking, a pleasant atmosphere and good food, Taqueros is a solid pick for a blind date or a team lunch in Magok.

Why I picked Taqueros as a blind date spot in Magok
Taqueros is a Mexican restaurant in Magok, Gangseo, known for its tacos. I went while looking for a blind date spot with a great atmosphere and food that's seriously good. Ongyi and I are almost at year five of dating, so I can barely remember the last time I went on a blind date... but I've still often visited restaurants thinking, "if I ever had a blind date, I'd want it somewhere like this."
If you chat away over tasty food in a nice place, you end up wanting to see each other again and talk more, right? That's how connections begin, haha. Today I've got a review of Taqueros, a Magok spot that does tacos well!

You can park easily inside the Magok GMG Tower building, so access is great too, haha. It has an open kitchen that shows off its clean hygiene, and it's a Magok taco favorite.

The seating is spacious, so I bet it's popular for Magok office lunches too! And for a working-people blind date, it's just perfect, no question.

What to order at Taqueros? Ongyi's picks
This time I ordered the Taqueros Signature Couple Set for 2 (₩56,000, fajita + 2 tacos) and the chipotle shrimp enchilada (₩22,900). The portions are big, so if you want to add one more dish to the set, loosen your belt and eat properly, haha.
If you love fajitas, the couple set alone is plenty, and if you want to taste more proper Mexican food, I strongly recommend the chipotle shrimp enchilada. So yummy.

Pretty, neat tableware arrives, and they even bring hygiene gloves so you can eat cleanly. A Magok date spot that's different down to the details.

What the Signature Couple Set includes and how big it is
The Taqueros Signature Couple Set comes with a fish taco, a chicken taco and fajita. Oh my, it's really generous! Even big eaters can wrap tortillas and get full without worry. It's not easy to eat Mexican food often, so when I do, I'm going to treat myself.

Tortillas and sauces, except guacamole, are refillable! That's good news for anyone who wants more. As for how it went, even the basic portion is large, so just get ready to pat your belly.

The fajita meat and the tacos
My favorite was the fajita meat. The BBQ flavor comes through strongly, and it really feels like eating in Mexico itself. The pieces are big and plump, so it's an irresistible dish you keep reaching for.

And the tacos are so big and generous. They taste fresh yet deep, so even coming just for single tacos would give you a real local taste. With so many menu items and choices, it's a Magok date spot where you'll have a satisfying meal from lunch to dinner.

How to wrap a fajita tortilla
To wrap Taqueros fajita, be sure to add the cheese sauce. The rich, melty cheese sauce maximizes the flavor and makes it feel like a feast!

- Spread sour cream on the tortilla
- Pile on as much meat as you like (not too much or it spills over)
- Add the sauces too
- Drizzle cheese sauce on top and you're done
My very own tortilla wrap is done, fresh with a deep meaty taste! A Mexican-style wrap is totally my style, isn't it?

Chipotle shrimp enchilada: worth ordering extra?
Honestly the chipotle shrimp enchilada (₩22,900) isn't necessary since the set is enough, but I wanted it so badly that I ordered it. It's really big with a lot of food, so get ready to loosen your belt, haha.

It comes topped with plenty of sauce so you can scoop it up with no shortage, and it has tomato risotto plus a nutty richness, yet it isn't sour, so it's really delicious!

You cut the enchilada with a knife, and tasty cheese is hiding inside, so you enjoy a nutty richness from start to finish. Turns out I like enchiladas. If you eat little, tacos plus an enchilada alone will fill you up completely! If you eat a lot, I'd add the fajita too ^^
Verdict: Taqueros, a Magok spot good for a blind date
- Easy parking
- Antique-style atmosphere
- Plenty of menu choices
- Top-notch flavors across the menu
- No drawbacks!
Is this what it tastes like in Mexico? Taqueros is a Magok taco spot so delicious you end up truly satisfied. If you're stuck on where to hold a year-end blind date or office lunch, I wholeheartedly recommend it!
If you love Mexican food, are looking for a Magok date course, or need a Magok blind date spot, I strongly recommend Taqueros!
