Kimchi jjigae with oyster mushroom topping in Ansan: Choburi Kimchi
Choburi Kimchi Jjigae Gojan Main Branch is a Korean restaurant in Gojan-dong, Ansan, serving a kimchi stew recipe passed down for three generations. A weekend lunch two-person set (₩28,000) was loaded up with oyster mushroom topping, half a tofu block, and a Bongpyeong buckwheat-chive pancake, simmered down like kimchi-jjim, then finished off with ramyeon noodles and stone-pot rice scorched crust. The spicy pickled pepper side dish from the self-serve bar paired especially well with the stew, and coffee and ice cream after the meal rounded out a very full finish.
