Revisiting on a weekday at 2pm, the writer explored the first floor, second floor, and terrace, and checked out the soufflé lineup running from ube to strawberry, mango, pearl crème brûlée, tiramisu, and matcha. 5to7 Seongsu Main Branch turned out to be a café whose strengths came through even more on the second visit than the first.

Buckwheat clam noodles with baby chairs in Yangjae, Seoul: Seonbawi

Seonbawi Memil Jangteo Yangjae Branch is a buckwheat noodle restaurant near Yangjae Citizens' Forest and the aT Center in Seocho, Seoul. Visiting for a late lunch with a baby, the writer ordered three servings of buckwheat clam noodle soup and meat dumplings, and the standout was the generous clams and the chewy buckwheat noodles that kept turning up even after picking out the shells. Baby chairs are available for family meals, but parking is limited to about 4 spots in front, so it's worth planning ahead.

Seongsu café near Seoul Forest for financier selection: Notldun

Notldun is a dessert café in Seongdong, Seoul, right in front of Seoul Forest on Seoulsup 2-gil. After a long deliberation over the petit gateaux in the showcase, in a space wrapped in floor-to-ceiling windows and white tones, the writer ordered a financier selection, and even the plating felt like a hotel dessert café. It's a good stop after a Seoul Forest walk or a Seongsu pop-up run.
