Nowon sushi buffet the day after Kuu Kuu Gold: bubble tea and sorbet

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch (쿠우쿠우 노원점)

I planned dinner with a friend I work out with, but we each wanted something different, so we agonized over where to go for ages, haha. Then we settled on Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, where you can pick whatever you like! No more menu worries, and we had a very satisfying dinner!

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch location and opening hours

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is on the 6th floor of 247 Nowon-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul. On weekdays (Mon–Fri) it is open 11:00–21:30 with last order at 20:00; on weekends (Sat–Sun) it is open 11:00–22:00 with last order at 20:30.

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch parking: how much after 2 hours?

You can use the Seoul Oncheon Building parking lot (247 Nowon-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul). It is free for 2 hours with a meal, then ₩4,000 per 30 minutes (max ₩4,000). The parking entrance is at the back of the building.

On weekends and holidays the lot is often full, so you may have to wait. If it is full you will need a nearby paid lot, so if you are driving, I recommend checking parking around the area in advance!

I used the Oncheon Building lot, and the staff generously entered 2 hours of parking for me, but we were eating and chatting and left at a relaxed pace. It showed 2 hours 6 minutes, and even those 6 minutes cost ₩4,000 T_T Please keep this in mind!

The day after Kuu Kuu Gold: two days in a row

Yesterday I went to Kuu Kuu with a friend, and today I made dinner plans with my workout friend, so I ended up going again. Two days in a row, but the menu is so varied that I didn't get tired of it at all!

At the entrance of Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch, you press the staff call bell and a staff member quickly guides you. It was handy for checking reservations and getting seated.

I went on a weekday and we could stay until 9:30. There was so much food that we kept filling plates, and before I knew it, it was well past 9. It was so good that I lost track of time, haha.

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch has partitioned seats and a kids' play area, and the wide aisles made it easy to go get food. It was past 9, so I captured the restaurant while it was relatively quiet.

There are seats with partitions, which were nice for eating comfortably with your group, haha. The wide aisles made moving around for food easy, haha. The spacing between seats is just right, so it felt comfortable even at busy times.

Since closing time was near, some seats had already been cleared.

There is also a play area for kids, so I think families with children will especially like it, haha.

The partitions on this side are high, so it looks like you can eat with a private feel, haha. Overall the seats are nicely separated from neighboring tables, which made the atmosphere even more comfortable.

How much does Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch cost?

Weekday dinner at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is ₩31,900 for adults and ₩17,900 for elementary students. I went at 7:30pm on a Friday. Just so you know, haha.

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch menu: how is it different from Gold?

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch provides utensils and disposable gloves together, which was handy for eating seasoned raw crab (yangnyeom gejang) or boiled crab. The plates are also concave, so there is less worry about spilling when you load up or carry food, which I really liked, haha.

I went to Kuu Kuu Gold just the day before, and apart from the grill zone, the menu seems similar!

Sushi

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch has a wide variety of sushi, so I didn't get tired of it even after bringing plates back several times. The variety is really wide, and it was fun picking what suited my taste!

From basic sushi to more distinctive items, there was a wide range on offer.

Dessert: sorbet, bead ice cream, fruit, chocolate fountain

The dessert corner at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch has ice cream, bead ice cream, fruit and a chocolate fountain, and the sorbet was seriously good, haha. With so many dessert options, I was satisfied even after the meal, haha.

There is a wide choice of ice cream too, so I think kids will especially love it. With several flavors available, it was a great after-meal treat~

Besides regular ice cream, there is also bead ice cream, so kids and adults alike could enjoy dessert. I really wanted to try it as a kid, but my parents rarely bought it for me, and I remember always feeling disappointed. Since it was bead ice cream I could never easily get when I wanted it, I was oddly happy to see it.

There was a good variety of fruit too. I live on my own, so I don't often get to eat fruit, but that day I was so happy that I piled a whole plate with nothing but fruit!

There is also a chocolate fountain that kids will like. Dipping fruit or marshmallows added to the fun~

Fried food and en croute soup

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch also has a good variety of fried food, so it was nice to take a little of each and taste them.

I also tried the en croute soup (soup baked under a pastry crust, called angkureuteu soup in Korean), a must-try when you come to Kuu Kuu. I thought Gold had it too, but it doesn't, haha. The crispy pie outside and warm soup inside went well together and I was happy with it.

Bubble tea like Gong Cha

I tried the bubble tea at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch and was surprised that it tasted similar to the bubble tea sold at Gong Cha! It's impressive to get this level of quality at a buffet.

I went to Kuu Kuu Gold just the day before, and apart from the grill zone, the menu didn't seem very different. The Nowon Kuu Kuu also has a wide variety, and I could eat very happily!
