Hwaseong hair salon tassel cut and straight perm: Juno Hair

After cutting my hair into a bob, time passed and the ends started sticking out, while my hair got generally frizzy. I immediately booked a salon appointment, consulted with Designer Yejin at Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch, and got a tassel cut + straight perm + treatment. To give you the result first: I’m so happy that my frizzy hair turned into a calm, swishy bob!

First, before the service. As my bob grew out, it puffed up and the ends began curling upward ㅠ My whole hair just felt frizzy. A real emergency, right? ㅠㅠ

And after the service! The straight perm and treatment smoothed out the overall texture, and the ends were neatly finished with that tassel-cut look.

Maybe because I got the treatment too, but it was definitely soft and smooth to the touch. I asked for something feminine and chic—do you think it came through?

Location and parking near Dongtan Station

The Dongtan Station hair salon I visited this time, Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch, is near Dongtan Station, so it was easy to get to. You can visit by car too, and if it’s your first visit, it helps to watch the video showing how to find the parking lot beforehand. Even though I’m around this area often, the way in was a little confusing haha. The video is only 1 minute 40 seconds, so I really recommend first-timers watch it once before they go.

The salon was quite large, with separate styling, shampoo, and spa areas, so it felt pleasant overall.

Since the salon is so spacious, the space is divided into a White Zone and a Brown Zone.

The Brown Zone felt a little more private.

The White Zone had floor-to-ceiling windows, so it felt incredibly open.

There’s also a kids’ room like this, so it looked like you could visit with your child.

Choosing a tassel cut and straight perm after consultation

Honestly, I went in without knowing exactly what I wanted. I just wanted my hair to look neater, but had no idea what to do. Designer Yejin listened carefully, narrowed it down to two options, and held my hair up to show me what the finished look would feel like. That really helped me choose. Such kind, detailed consultation.

After the consultation, I decided on a tassel cut + straight perm + treatment. The straight perm + treatment came to ₩220,000 + ₩128,000 = ₩348,000. (For bob-length hair.) The process went: shampoo → protein care → straightening solution → heat treatment → flat ironing → neutralizing.

Except for the shampooing, the designer personally handled every step. So reassuring. Below is a photo taken during neutralizing. A tiny V sign haha.

They also gave me drinks and snacks during the service. TMI) Those ring-shaped cookies were so good. When I finished them, they refilled them for me haha. I was embarrassed, but I thoroughly ate the refill too.. ^^* After snacking and going back and forth to the shampoo room a few times, it was almost over..!

Except it wasn’t—after the straight perm, it was time for the treatment. It went: moisture care → keratin protein replenishment → oil-and-moisture care → coating, and took around 30 minutes. Honestly, at first I wondered whether I even needed the treatment, but after getting it, it really did make a difference haha. My hair was so swishy..

At the end, I received a scalp pack, massage, and steam service in the spa room—wow, this place is heaven.. A warm towel went on the back of my neck, the massage chair loosened up my back and waist, and the designer gave my head acupressure. It was such a comfortable, happy time. I want to go back just for this haha. After my happy time.. I came back out, had my hair dried, got my tassel cut finished carefully, and finally, done~~

Oh, and because I got both the straight perm and treatment, I went in and out of the shampoo room so many times. Even though the staff member was different each time, everyone carefully checked the water temperature, and the pressure and rinsing were just right. Best of all, not once did water get into my ears..! I was highly satisfied with Juno Hair Dongtan SRT Station Branch even in these basic services.
