In short
Noknok is a large two-floor bakery café on Seongmisan-ro in Yeonnam-dong, Mapo, Seoul. The writer worked at an outlet-rich seat on Noknok's 2nd floor and made a meal of a sandwich and a decaf americano, enjoying the clean taste of the decaf and the hearty sandwich. For a long laptop session and a meal in one stop in Yeonnam-dong, Noknok is a good fit.

I was looking for a quiet café in Yeonnam-dong where I could work or study, and I ended up at Noknok (녹녹), which has a great mood and plenty of space. Yeonnam-dong has so many pretty cafés, but not that many where you can really settle in for a long stay. Noknok was good for studying and for getting a meal done too.

Noknok is about a 10-minute walk from Exit 3 of Hongik Univ. Station. It's a nice stop during a stroll around Yeonnam-dong, and it's near the Yeonnam-dong community center, so it wasn't hard to find.

They're also running a ₩1,900 takeout americano promotion!
Noknok's 1st and 2nd floors: where to sit for studying
Noknok is a big café with two floors: the 1st floor suits chatting, and the quieter 2nd floor suits studying and laptop work.

The 1st floor has the ordering area plus large tables and sofa seats, which is great for talking with friends. The whole place has a stylish feel, with black and green working well together.

The 2nd floor is a bit quieter, and a lot of people were studying or working on laptops. Best of all, there are so many outlets! They're on the walls and around the tables too, so it's really convenient if you're using a laptop or tablet.
The Wi-Fi works well, so staying a long time felt no problem, and the restroom is inside the building, which was handy. Note that there's a 2-hour limit on weekends and public holidays.
Noknok menu: decaf option and bakery selection
The drinks range widely, from the signature coconut water drinks to coffee, ades, smoothies and tea. You can choose your beans and switch to decaf, so I liked that you can have coffee late in the day without worrying.

The bakery selection was quite varied too: salt bread, baguettes, baked sweets and cakes. It looked great for a light brunch or dessert.

How were Noknok's sandwich and decaf americano?
I wanted a simple meal that day, so I ordered a sandwich and a decaf americano at Noknok.

Decaf americano
Noknok's decaf americano wasn't flat at all. It had a clean flavor that really came through, and I was happy with it. When I go to a café late in the afternoon I often give up on coffee because of the caffeine, so being able to choose decaf and enjoy it without worry was great. It paired well with the sandwich too, and it was just right for sipping slowly over a long stay.

Sandwich
The sandwich was packed with fillings, so it was more filling than I expected, and the combination of fresh vegetables and ingredients was clean and easy to eat. I'd thought of it as a light brunch item, but the portion was quite decent, enough for a full meal while working.
There were so many kinds of sandwiches!! It was a little hard to choose.

Is Noknok worth recommending as a study café in Yeonnam-dong?
If you're looking for a good study café in Yeonnam-dong, Noknok is definitely worth recommending. The spacious interior, plenty of seats and outlets all around made laptop work and studying really comfortable, and the atmosphere, which doesn't feel stuffy even after a long stay, was its biggest strength.
On top of that, with a varied bakery, meal options and decaf coffee, I felt it covers everything from a light brunch to studying to chatting with friends. If you want a quiet café in Yeonnam-dong where you can stay a long time, I think you'd be happy with a visit to Noknok.
