Our wedding anniversary at Romaok Magok with our baby
Romaok Magok is an Italian restaurant on the 3rd floor of LG Arts Center Seoul at Magongnaru Station. We went for our wedding anniversary, with my husband and our baby. The atmosphere was classic and stylish and the food was delicious, so it made a really satisfying anniversary meal in Magok.
They have baby chairs too, so it was great for visiting with a little one. From the chicken cordon bleu Caesar salad to the abalone gaeu pasta and the fresh truffle Korean beef white ragu pasta, both the mood and the taste were good. Let me go through my Romaok Magok review one dish at a time! :)
Where is Romaok Magok, and how does parking work?
Romaok Magok is on the 3rd floor of the LG Arts Center building, a 2-minute walk from Exits 3 and 4 of Magongnaru Station! Parking is free for 2 hours, so keep that in mind :)
- Per hour: ₩6,000 on weekdays / ₩9,000 on weekends
- With the Romaok 50% discount: ₩3,000 per hour, same on weekdays and weekends
- If you're seeing a performance, settle parking with your ticket: 5 hours for ₩5,000 on weekdays / ₩7,500 on weekends and holidays

Take the elevator up to the 3rd floor and you'll find Romaok Magok. The stylish interior of the entrance stood out even from far away, haha. Takeout Americanos get ₩1,000 off, too :)
What is the atmosphere like inside Romaok Magok?

At the entrance there was a Blue Ribbon Survey notice saying it's featured in the "2026 Seoul Restaurants" list, which made me even more excited!

The high ceilings, big windows and arch-shaped decorations caught my eye. Warm lighting and wood-toned furniture sat under an exposed ceiling, and the table settings were neat.
The interior is also beautiful for photos. When choosing a restaurant in Magongnaru, it's not just the food: the space is so lovely that I think it would be great for anniversaries!

Romaok Magok's private room, outdoor terrace and high chairs
There's a private space at the back of Romaok Magok! When I visited, a group gathering was actually going on there. Besides tables for two, there's room for bigger parties, so anyone looking for a group venue around Magongnaru may find it useful.

Sunlight streams in by the windows, and there's an outdoor terrace outside. In cool autumn weather like now, spending time there in the evening air would be wonderful :) Also, high chairs are available, so if you're going with kids, keep that in mind!!
Romaok Magok's menu and current events

For appetizers, Romaok has a variety of salads, beef carpaccio, carrot purée and more, and there are also pasta, lasagna, risotto, steak, pork jowl, chicken and desserts :)

Romaok is currently running a 7th anniversary scratch event, so be sure to join in while you eat! :)

Show an LG Arts Center performance ticket for 50% off desserts, and a review event gets you a can of soda, so be sure to take part :)

Bread served before the meal at Romaok Magok
First came the bread, and for an appetizer we ordered the chicken cordon bleu Caesar salad.

The bread was soft and chewy, and dipped in oil it tasted clean and mellow. It's really good when eaten warm!! I think good restaurants make good bread too, haha

Chicken cordon bleu Caesar salad: how big and how good?
The chicken cordon bleu Caesar salad (₩16,000) comes generously topped with vegetables and cheese, plus the chicken, so it was more filling than I expected. I'd picked it for a light start, but the portion was big and I was happy with it.
The chicken in particular had that crispy-outside, juicy-inside texture. There was cheese inside too, so cutting into it gave a rich, nutty flavor. It was tasty on its own, but even better with the refreshing salad. With crunchy, savory chicken plus vegetables, I kept reaching for more.

The main pastas have finally arrived! :)

What does Romaok's signature abalone gaeu pasta taste like?

I chose the abalone gaeu pasta (₩26,000) because it's Romaok's signature. It's a linguine with kelp-steamed abalone, garlic chives, chorizo and a gaeu (abalone innards) sauce. A big piece of abalone sits on top, so it caught my eye the moment it arrived.
One bite and I loved the rich seafood flavor. The sauce coats the noodles well, so the pasta itself was delicious too.

What I remember most was the texture of the abalone. Even though the pieces were so big, they were really tender. It was so soft it practically melted when I bit into it, and I enjoyed it a lot.
I'd recommend it if you like seafood-flavored pasta. If you're looking for something different from the usual pasta at a Magok restaurant, the signature is worth a try.

What does the fresh truffle Korean beef white ragu pasta taste like?

The fresh truffle Korean beef white ragu pasta (₩29,000) was really good too! It's made with Korean beef (hanwoo) ragu, tuna chia, black truffle paste and black truffle, served with spaghettini.
The noodles were thinner than in the abalone gaeu pasta we'd had before. Personally I like thin noodles, so I especially liked that. And I love truffle, so the full truffle aroma was wonderful :) The rich, nutty flavor with that aroma made every bite satisfying.
If the abalone gaeu pasta was memorable for its seafood flavor, the white ragu pasta's charm was its rich, nutty taste and truffle aroma. The two pastas differ in both flavor and noodles, so ordering them together worked well. This one suited my taste for thin noodles especially. I'd definitely recommend it to truffle lovers :)
Is Romaok Magok good for an anniversary meal?
The food at Romaok Magok was delicious, but the classic, stylish space made the meal even more memorable. We visited with my husband on our wedding anniversary, and I really felt glad we came :)
- Chicken cordon bleu Caesar salad: generous portion and crispy chicken with cheese inside
- Abalone gaeu pasta: seafood flavor and tender abalone
- Fresh truffle Korean beef white ragu pasta: rich, nutty taste on thin noodles, with a truffle aroma I loved; especially recommended
With the outdoor terrace and separate seating inside, you can choose a spot to suit the mood, from a date to a group gathering. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a place to eat before or after a show at LG Arts Center, or who wants pasta at a nice restaurant near Magongnaru Station :)
