Why I stopped at Green & Fini Mangwon for a solo meal near Mangwon Market
Green & Fini Mangwon (그린앤피니 망원본점) is a salad and pasta brunch restaurant on the 2nd floor on Poeun-ro, near Mangwon Market. When you're wandering Mangwon alone, you sometimes get hungry, right? That day I was strolling slowly around Mangwon Market, wondering where to have lunch, and ended up at Green & Fini Mangwon.

I usually like salads and brunch menus, so it naturally caught my eye. Best of all, there's a menu signboard at the entrance, so I could check the menu and prices before going in. When you're eating alone you always wonder about the prices and the menu, so being able to see them ahead of time was handy.

Is Green & Fini Mangwon comfortable for solo diners?
With its white-toned interior and comfortably spaced tables, Green & Fini Mangwon felt easy to visit alone. When I went inside, a staff member kindly showed me to a seat. The white tone made the whole place feel clean, and the spacing between tables made it relaxing. It wasn't awkward at all to be there by myself.

Tablet ordering and the galbi pasta one-person set price
You order on a tablet at each seat, and I chose the one-person Salad & Pasta + 1 piece tonkatsu set (galbi pasta + zero cola) for ₩19,000. The tablet shows photos and descriptions of each dish, so ordering was easy. I also liked that I could browse the menu slowly without calling a staff member.

While waiting for the food, I started with a sip of the zero cola. The cold fizz was perfect for a hot day. It felt like it cleansed my palate before the meal, which set me up nicely to enjoy the main dishes.

After a short wait, the food arrived. The plating was neat and had a real brunch café feel. It looked good enough for photos, too. It was a satisfying lineup for a full meal.

How did the galbi pasta at Green & Fini taste?
The galbi pasta looked much more generous than I expected. A hearty portion of pasta was sprinkled with cheese and herbs, topped with chunky galbi (marinated short rib) and crispy garlic chips, so I was excited from the first look.

I tried the galbi first. The sweet-salty marinade had soaked in well, and the meaty flavor came through the more I chewed. Eating the galbi together with the pasta had a different charm from an ordinary tomato pasta. Mixing it with the cheese added a nutty richness, which made it even tastier.

The 1 piece of tonkatsu included in the set
The piece of tonkatsu (breaded pork cutlet) in the one-person set was satisfying too. It was crispy outside and juicy inside, so it didn't feel like a mere side dish. Taking a bite between forkfuls of galbi pasta added texture variety and made the meal more filling.
What the restaurant says about Green & Fini
The following is taken from what the restaurant itself says about Green & Fini. It follows a made-and-sold-the-same-day principle, and they say they shop at the fish market every day and use that day's ingredients, except on Sundays.
- Galbi pork neck salad: Green & Fini's signature, reportedly the No. 1–2 item on the menu.
- Galbi cream pasta: the cream sauce includes cheongyang chili pepper, so it reportedly isn't heavy.
- Salmon salad: cured for a day with kelp (kombu-jime) to remove any fishy smell, using top-grade Norwegian salmon, they say.
- Tonkatsu pasta: a dish that pairs crispy tonkatsu with a rich, nutty pasta sauce, they say.
According to the restaurant, it is open Mon–Sun 07:00–03:00 (last order 02:00) and may close early when sold out. For parking, use the nearest public lot, the Mangwon Market public parking lot (Mangwon 1-2 Public Parking Lot), at ₩300 for the first 5 minutes and ₩300 per additional 5 minutes. Seating includes counter seats, floor seating, bar table and single seats, and it is listed as offering takeout, delivery, reservations, Wi-Fi and group seating, with Zeropay and local currency payments accepted.
Verdict: if you want a solo brunch in Mangwon
Overall, I could eat comfortably in a clean atmosphere at Green & Fini Mangwon, and eating alone wasn't awkward at all. It also looked like a good pick for anyone searching for Western-style food in Mangwon. You can enjoy salad and pasta together, so it should suit people who like filling, healthy dishes.
