I went to Pizzeria Snug (피제리아스너그) in Sangam-dong for pizza and pasta! When you're looking for a place for a date or a meal with friends in Sangam-dong, you end up searching for somewhere that does both pizza and pasta. This time I tried Pizzeria Snug, known as a Neapolitan pizza place. I found it while searching for good restaurants in Sangam-dong, and it turned out to be busy even on the weekend. So let me walk you through what I ordered and the atmosphere, one by one haha
What is the atmosphere like at Pizzeria Snug?

Pizzeria Snug has a red exterior, so it's easy to spot from far away, and on the weekend there were plenty of customers not just inside but at the outdoor seats too. When I arrived, the red exterior stood out right away. It wasn't hard to find from a distance, and lots of people were sitting outside as well as inside. The weather was nice, so quite a few people were eating outdoors.

Maybe because it was the weekend, the whole place felt lively. It seemed like a good fit for anyone looking for a meal or a date spot in Sangam-dong. On a nice day, eating at the outdoor seats would feel a bit different and special, I think.
If you're planning a Haneul Park date, or looking for somewhere to eat after an outing at Nanji Hangang Park, it's worth considering too. Weekends do get crowded, though, so if you want a relaxed meal, it's a good idea to pick your timing well.
Is parking free at Pizzeria Snug?
The restaurant said that if you use the Hyoin Building parking tower (mechanical automatic parking), you get 1 hour of free parking with your visit. Large vehicles may have trouble parking, though.
There are also reviews saying nobody helps with parking on weekends, so you have to do it yourself. I'm not a fan of mechanical parking to begin with, so I paid to park at a nearby public lot. haha If you're coming on a weekend or with a large vehicle, ask the restaurant in advance whether parking is possible!
Ordering at Pizzeria Snug with a table kiosk

At Pizzeria Snug, you sit down first, then browse the menu and order on the kiosk at your table. There are lots of pizzas, so I agonized over what to eat for a long time. I originally wanted the seafood pasta, but it wasn't on the menu. hahaha I put my disappointment aside and ordered something else.
- Tomato stracciatella
- Mortadella pistachio
Choosing took longer than I expected, and since there were combinations I'd never tried before, I read the menu descriptions carefully.

The table was set with water, plates, forks and knives.
How does the tomato stracciatella pasta taste? (22,000 won)

Pizzeria Snug's tomato stracciatella costs ₩22,000 and is a pasta with tomato sauce, cherry tomatoes and stracciatella cheese. It's the first dish I'll introduce, and the cheese was piled on generously, so it caught my eye from the very look of it.

The noodles were soft, and overall it tasted light rather than having a rich tomato-sauce depth. With the stracciatella added, it came across as fresh and slightly tangy. It was a different flavor combination from the rich, savory tomato pasta you'd normally picture. 😊
With plenty of cherry tomatoes and stracciatella in the tomato sauce, it's a pasta where you enjoy the soft texture of the cheese together with the tomatoes. 😊
How does the mortadella pistachio pizza taste? (27,000 won)

Pizzeria Snug's mortadella pistachio costs ₩27,000 and is a pizza topped with mortadella, yellow tomato sauce, basil and stracciatella cheese. It came out second, and even the name felt a little different from an ordinary pizza, so I was curious how it would taste. The topping combination is unusual, so I found myself expecting something unlike the pizza I usually eat.

The dough is on the thick side, topped with mortadella, stracciatella cheese, basil and more. Mortadella is a thinly sliced, ham-like ingredient with a salty flavor. There was also a nutty note, as if served with nuts or pumpkin seeds, and the stracciatella tasted fresh yet creamy.
Overall it's a combination of mild dough, the saltiness of the ham, the soft, fresh flavor of the cheese and the richness of nuts. It goes in a different direction from regular tomato-sauce pizza or cheese pizza, so it had a personality a bit different from the familiar. 😊
Pizzeria Snug verdict: unusual pairings over familiar flavors
The pizza and pasta I ordered at Pizzeria Snug were quite different in flavor combination from what I usually eat. The pizza combined thick dough with mortadella, yellow tomato sauce, basil and stracciatella cheese. With the mild dough, the salty ham and the soft, fresh cheese, it's definitely a completely different style from ordinary pizza.
The pasta, too, used tomato sauce, cherry tomatoes and stracciatella, and felt completely different from a familiar tomato pasta. Both dishes have unusual ingredient combinations, so if you're expecting the pizza and pasta flavors you usually enjoy, you may notice the difference.
It was also impressive that it was so busy inside and out on the weekend, a sign of how popular it is. Tastes differ from person to person, so I'd suggest checking the ingredients and combinations in each dish before you choose. 😊
