I went back to Special Sushi Osan Branch (특별한초밥 오산점), my total regular spot near Osan Station. Just the visits I paid for myself have already racked up ₩3,856 in points! It's famous as an Osan Station favorite, and there's a reason people wait in line, so you really have to go.

What are parking and waiting like at Special Sushi Osan Branch?
Special Sushi Osan Branch is in the Osan food alley close to Osan Station, and I parked at the Osan public parking lot. At mealtimes there's a wait on weekdays and weekends alike, and you register for the queue on a tablet.

I think the building has a basement lot too, but the entrance looked so narrow I figured it'd be hard to get in, so I just parked at the Osan public lot and walked over. As an Osan Station favorite, it's close to the station and sits in the Osan food alley.
There's pretty much always a wait at mealtimes, weekday or weekend, so you can really feel how popular it is! Especially!!!! On weekends or holidays, if you don't show up at opening you'll 100% be standing in line, so heads up. You could put your name down and get a haircut while you wait..
Inside Special Sushi Osan Branch: bar seats and tables
When you walk into Special Sushi Osan Branch, there are really a ton of rice sacks. But the amount changes every time I go, which tells me they're going through good rice, and that makes it taste even better.

Most of the seats are bar-style, and there are table seats if you're coming with family. But with lines this long, the table seats are harder to get than you'd expect.

Special Sushi Osan Branch menu and prices
The basic sushi at Special Sushi Osan Branch is a cheap ₩1,890! Honestly, once you eat here, every other conveyor sushi place is a letdown. The fish is big, and because so many people wait to get in, the turnover keeps the freshness, which is what matters most in sushi!

Besides the ₩1,890 plates there are lots of special menu items, priced in tiers from ₩3,000 down to ones where a ₩1,890 plate is a single piece, so picking is half the fun. (There are also lots of delivery orders, so they must be run off their feet.)

Conveyor belt or kiosk: how to order
You can grab plates off the rotating belt, but ordering through the kiosk somehow makes it feel fresher.

You can watch the sushi being made in real time, and the owner really never stops making it, which was fun to watch.
Osan Station conveyor sushi the whole family and my husband love
I go to Special Sushi Osan Branch really often with my husband and my family too, and everyone has been happy with it, a true Osan Station favorite.

Last time I went with my family, and wow, once we passed 20 plates I even saw them take one 20-plate batch off the count, haha

Why a 6-piece order arrives on 3 plates
Huh? Why are there three of these? When you order 6 pieces at Special Sushi Osan Branch, sometimes they give you three stacked plates!!! But somehow it looks tastier this way than grabbing it off the belt. Is that just me? haha

Engawa, salmon and flounder ankimo for two
This day my husband ordered a lot of the special menu. Just the two of us, so we said let's eat plenty of the pricey stuff, and we ordered engawa (flounder fin). I swear, haha, I thought someone had piled noodles on top!

We ordered tons of my beloved salmon sushi too. Salmon never gets old, no matter when I eat it!

We also got flounder topped with ankimo (monkfish liver). Once I tried it, I've ordered it every visit, because the nutty richness of the ankimo goes so well with the flavor of the flounder.

It's ₩3,000 a plate though, so my husband and I split it, one each.

Flounder plus ankimo is great on its own, but this was the fin, and they even torched it a bit? The richness just floods your mouth!

Are the Special Sushi Osan Branch specials worth the price?
At Special Sushi Osan Branch you get premium sushi like this for ₩3,000, while elsewhere this kind of thing runs ₩5,000-6,000. Seriously...!

It's a sushi place near Osan Station where you can eat really well. I went somewhere else recently and was so disappointed that my husband and I were saying just yesterday that we want to go back to Special Sushi, sob.
