Jongak Station sushi lunch for three sharing kaisendon: Choe Uyeong

Choe Uyeong Sushiya Jongno Branch is a sushi restaurant on the basement level of a building 3 minutes' walk from Exit 1 of Jongak Station in Jongno, Seoul. Three of us each ordered something different — a 17-piece premium sushi set, a 15-piece special sushi set and a mixed kaisendon (seafood rice bowl) — and shared a shrimp tempura udon on the side. Between solo counter seats and partitioned tables, Choe Uyeong Sushiya Jongno Branch works just as well for a quiet lunch alone as for a group, and we walked out completely full.

2-hint escape room in Hongdae, Seoul: Monkey House at Cube Escape

Cube Escape Hongdae Branch is a horror and mystery escape room café a 6-minute walk from Exit 9 of Hongik University Station in Mapo, Seoul. Of the six themes, Monkey House is one of the easier ones: it holds 9 puzzles over 1 hour, and this run ended with 2 hints used and 28 minutes still on the clock. Monkey House is billed as high on the fear scale but plays out fairly mild, so it suits first-time escape room players too.
