Suede shoulder bag for commuting: Meda Bag Brown
In short
Meda Bag Brown Suede Bag is a daily shoulder bag tested for commuting and outings in Korea for about a week. It held documents and a cosmetics pouch generously and suited a beige coat, though it has no zipper and my large laptop stuck out slightly. Verdict: a roomy winter daily bag with a few closure and laptop-size limits.

Why did I switch to a suede shoulder bag for commuting?
The bag I had been using was small and boxy, so it was inconvenient to carry my things in. Even when I pared down what I brought, there was not enough room, so I chose the roomy Meda Bag Brown Suede Bag for winter commuting.

The delivery also included a Pochacco plush as a free extra. It can wear a scarf and goggles, so I was thinking of attaching it to a bag that suits it.

How were the brown color and bag size?
When I was choosing, it came in black, beige, brown, and camel. I went back and forth between beige and brown, worrying that the brown might be close to a reddish brick color. When it arrived, it looked like a brown without red tones to my eyes, which I liked.

The bag arrived in a nonwoven bag. I thought it would also be easy to coordinate the tone with the brown shoes I bought recently. At 35 cm wide and 31 cm high, it felt roomier than my old small bag.

I use the nonwoven bag that came with it to wrap and store the bag I used previously.
How do the handle and opening closure work?
Unlike the suede body, the handle was leather. It felt sturdy in my hand, and the stitching was neat. Even though its texture differed from the body, it did not feel awkward to me since it was the handle.

There is no zipper at the opening; it closes once with a magnetic snap. I worried that things might fall out and get lost, but it includes a pouch for keeping small belongings separate.

How much makeup fit in the included pouch?
The pouch was made from the same material as the bag handle and felt soft. I often casually leave my bag on the back seat of the car, so I tend to keep my cosmetics together separately; since the pouch came with it, I used it right away.

Even after transferring all the cosmetics I carried in my old bag, there was plenty of space left in the pouch. It was bigger than I expected, and I also liked its subtle sheen and soft texture. It did not interfere with the bag's shape when placed inside.

How was it styled with a winter coat?
I carried it comfortably for commuting over several days, then took it to a birthday get-together too. I paired it with raw denim jeans and a beige coat, and the brown color worked well. It was also nice for adding a color accent to the black clothes I often wear in winter.

The cozy texture unique to suede went well with winter clothes. I also liked that when I carried it by hand rather than on my shoulder, it did not hold an overly boxy shape and instead fell softly.

How did it hold documents and a laptop over one week?
During about a week of use, I had occasions to carry documents, and the roomy space was not inconvenient. My old laptop is on the thick and large side, so it stuck out slightly above the bag, but it was still usable for short trips.
I thought a smaller, thinner laptop would probably fit, but the only laptop I actually tried was mine. If you need a bag that fully contains a laptop, keep this experience in mind.
Because it is suede, I was concerned about scratches, but after a week of carrying it around casually, I still could not see everyday minor scratches. Within my use, its storage and winter styling worked well, so I kept reaching for it as a daily bag.
