Why did I start giving my 5-year-old a calcium supplement?
I am raising a 5-year-old. As my child has been growing lately, there were times when they said their legs hurt at night or asked me to massage them. I became more interested in my child’s nutritional intake and looked into calcium products, which led me to try The Day Tunteun Kids Cal-Madi Plus K2 Strawberry Flavor.

What is Cal-Madi, and why did I choose this combination?
At first, I had only heard the term Cal-Madi and did not know exactly what it meant. While looking into products, I learned that it refers to calcium, magnesium, and vitamin D grouped together.

While looking for a product containing those three ingredients together, I also considered vitamin K2. The Day Cal-Madi contains all four ingredients in one packet, so there was less hassle in preparing them separately. It was a convenient combination for me, since I am not used to keeping track of several different products.

What ingredient information did I consider when choosing it?
I also referred to the product description stating that absorption had been considered. It said that microencapsulated calcium and magnesium made using liposomal technology were blended at a 2:1 ratio. This information is based on the product description.

For vitamin K2, I looked at the description saying it uses an MK-7 ingredient. The information that Japanese and Chinese ingredients were not used also influenced my choice.

Did my child who avoids chewables eat it?
Even after considering the ingredients, it is hard to give a product to a child if it does not suit their taste. I was worried because my child does not readily eat chewables either. However, this was a strawberry-flavored powder that melts in the mouth without water, and my child ate it well.

The particles were not coarse; they felt fine and soft, melting gently in the mouth. My child liked the flavor enough to pour it into their own mouth, so giving it was less stressful.
How was it for daily use and carrying around?
Because it was portioned into individual packets, it was easy to carry. Since my child ate it without resistance, it also helped us establish a daily routine.
