Cheongdam sunset date restaurant: Hanwoo risotto at Schedule Cheongdam
In short
Schedule Cheongdam is a Western restaurant at 37 Seolleung-ro 152-gil in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, long known as a brunch date spot. The writer sat at a window terrace seat, shared a Hanwoo (Korean beef) cream risotto and a tomato pasta topped with cheese, then ordered the 98,000 won Jeju apple mango bingsu (shaved ice) for dessert, and found the sunset during the meal especially memorable. Schedule Cheongdam is a Cheongdam date spot worth visiting as much for the atmosphere as for the food.

What kind of place is Schedule Cheongdam?

If you go looking for a brunch date spot in Cheongdam, you've probably heard of Schedule Cheongdam, a Western restaurant. I'd heard the name for ages too, and once I actually went, I understood why it keeps coming up as a Cheongdam favorite, haha.
The seat I got that day was seriously pretty. On a day with decent weather, eating on the terrace is a real treat, and I thought, okay, it's no accident this is such a famous Cheongdam brunch date spot.
Valet parking is available, and I've attached photos of the menu and prices at the very bottom of this post.
Schedule Cheongdam, a long-time Cheongdam staple

Schedule Cheongdam has been famous in Cheongdam for so long that you'll run into it whenever you search for Cheongdam restaurants. So that day I took it easy and enjoyed the meal with a Cheongdam brunch date feel.
What are the exterior and atmosphere like?
Schedule Cheongdam stands out even before you walk in. The sleek, Cheongdam-style look blends with plants and a terrace area, so it's great for photos too.
On a nice day especially, the terrace seats are gorgeous. When you're picking a restaurant in Cheongdam, taste matters, but for a date you can't ignore the atmosphere either, haha.

In that sense, Schedule Cheongdam had plenty of good spots for taking photos.
Why is the window terrace seat so popular?
I sat at the window-side terrace seat at Schedule Cheongdam. People say it's a famous spot, and once I sat there I got why it's so popular right away, haha.
The sunlight coming in feels lovely and the table setting is so pretty that I took who knows how many photos before the food even arrived.

With the food on that pretty table, the photos came out really well. If you're planning a Cheongdam brunch date, I'd personally recommend a terrace seat like this.
The elegant interior is lovely too
It's not just the terrace. The interior has a great mood too. It feels upscale and refined overall, so it suits blind dates and regular dates, and anniversary meals as well.
That day I saw everything from couples on dates to tables of several people dining together.
What did the two of us order?

That day we ordered the Hanwoo cream risotto and the tomato pasta topped with cheese.

If there are two of you, ordering one each and sharing is the perfect combination.
How is the Hanwoo cream risotto?
First, the Hanwoo cream risotto! The smooth, rich flavor of the cream sauce hits first, and with Hanwoo in it, it's hearty and satisfying.

With risotto, I prefer the thick style where the sauce clings to the rice rather than something too runny, and the risotto that day had that feel, so I enjoyed it.

With cream risotto, the first few spoonfuls are really good, but keep going and it can get a little heavy, right? So alternating with the tomato pasta made it so much better, haha.
How is the tomato pasta with cheese?

Next, the tomato pasta! The tangy tomato sauce comes with plenty of cheese on top, and it was a clean taste, clearly different from the cream risotto.
With the cheese on top, the acidity of the tomato sauce softens a bit and a rich, nutty flavor gets added!

Of the two dishes, I actually liked this one more.

One bite of cream risotto, one bite of tomato pasta, and your mouth feels fresh again, so I kept reaching for more, haha.

While we were eating, the sunset that day was insane... I was so moved I took 100 photos right away.. haha.
How much is the Jeju apple mango bingsu, and how does it taste?
Schedule Cheongdam's Jeju apple mango bingsu (shaved ice dessert) costs ₩98,000 and is said to be a premium bingsu made with top-grade Jeju apple mangoes. This mango bingsu was one of the real reasons I went that day, haha.
People talk a lot about the mango bingsu when they talk about Schedule Cheongdam, right? After finishing the meal, I ordered the famous Jeju apple mango bingsu for dessert, haha.
The mango is piled on generously and the shaved ice itself is soft, so the two together were really good. Above all, the mango is sweet and delicious, and eaten with the ice you get a properly fresh, sweet flavor!
3 pros of Schedule Cheongdam after visiting in person
- First is the atmosphere. It's an upscale, pretty space, so it's great for setting the mood on a Cheongdam brunch date.
- Second is the terrace seat! If you visit on a nice day, eating at a window terrace seat should definitely be more satisfying.
- Third, you can do everything from the meal to dessert in one place. No need to hunt for another café after brunch, and with the famous mango bingsu the date course just comes together naturally.
Would I go back to Schedule Cheongdam?
I'd go back to Schedule Cheongdam, haha. Next time especially, I want to visit on a nice day and enjoy a leisurely brunch on the terrace.
On a date in Cheongdam, rather than just eating and leaving right away, eating slowly in a pretty space and finishing with mango bingsu made for a nice way to spend time.
To me, Schedule Cheongdam felt less like a place you go just to eat delicious food and a bit more like a place you go to enjoy the atmosphere too.
If you want to eat and have a date, it's worth a visit once.
