Syabudaum at Songdo Amusement Park: a good place to go with your parents?

Syabudaum Songdo Amusement Park Branch (샤브다움) is a newly opened shabu-shabu spot at Songdo Amusement Park. The restaurant is brand new, so it's super clean, and the food was generous and really delicious. It's been a while since I had a proper good meal around Songdo Amusement Park, so I left in a great mood.

I went with my parents, and Mom and Dad loved it, saying they didn't know there were places like this these days.

Parking, seating and rooms at Syabudaum Songdo Amusement Park Branch

There's parking right in front of the restaurant, so it's convenient. It's open daily 11:30-22:00 with last order at 20:30, and there's group seating and baby chairs.

The inside is divided by partitions, so even in the main hall you can eat in privacy, haha.

There are rooms too. It seems a lot of golf gatherings around Songdo Amusement Park happen at Syabudaum. With rooms, shabu-shabu served as a course, and golf souvenirs given to golf groups, this is definitely the place to hold one.

I took a window seat. It's a floor-to-ceiling window and I could see trees outside, which was nice, haha.

How does the Syabudaum lunch set for 3 come out?

You order easily by tablet at your table. I ordered the lunch set for 3.

3 sauces and extras

After you order, they bring the basic setting: 3 sauces, green onion, minced garlic, wasabi and more.

You put the minced garlic, wasabi and green onion into your sauce.

There are 3 sauces, soy, chili and peanut, and personally I thought the peanut sauce was the tastiest, haha.

Individual napa cabbage salad

A napa cabbage salad came too. I thought the pink bits looked pretty, and it turned out they were cheese. It was tasty, haha.

It's set up per person like this. The salad is one per person too.

Lunch course vegetables and beef tendon

The vegetables came out first in the Syabudaum lunch course: mushrooms, enoki, bok choy, crown daisy, shiitake, napa cabbage, beech mushrooms and white wood ear mushrooms. Perfect!!!

Beef tendon (seuji) came too, haha. It was fresh and there was a lot of it!!!! Tender yet chewy, and delicious.

Shabu-shabu cooking order and the amount of meat

At Syabudaum they set up the broth for you right away, and you add things in the order vegetables → tendon → meat!!! haha.

I put in the tendon and vegetables, haha. There were so many vegetables that this isn't even all of them..!!!!

The meat came too, haha. I've never seen this much meat for shabu-shabu..!!!

Shabu-shabu means cooking the vegetables, so it's easy on the stomach and good for a diet, haha. With so many sauces, dipping everything is really good, haha.

It was a hearty spread that looks filling just by looking, haha.

Favorite combo: peanut sauce + minced garlic

My favorite is peanut sauce with minced garlic mixed in for dipping. The chili sauce is slightly spicy and good too.

It was packed with vegetables, so I could eat as much as I wanted without any burden, haha.

The tendon was really chewy and bouncy, great tendon. If you like tendon, I think you'll love Syabudaum. And there's a lot of it.

Finishing with fish cake udon or porridge: I chose spicy fish cake udon

With the Syabudaum lunch set, after the meal you can choose between fish cake udon (eomuk udon) and porridge, and I chose the udon, haha. Since I'd eaten the shabu-shabu in clear broth, I picked the spicy version of the udon, and it was the best choice!

There's lots of fish cake, and since it's udon the noodles are in there too and go really well with the broth, haha. The noodles were super chewy and delicious, really??

Dessert ice cream and in-house baked cookies

Dessert at Syabudaum was ice cream. The cookie on top is a different shape for each ice cream, and they say it's baked in the restaurant. This cookie is a treat. Delicious.

There was red bean, injeolmi (roasted rice cake) powder and even puffed rice spread at the very bottom, so it was a dessert made with real care, haha.

Overall verdict on Syabudaum Songdo Amusement Park Branch

Even the last dessert was a perfect finish. Syabudaum Songdo Amusement Park Branch was so, so delicious and filling!!! It's good for group gatherings and company dinners, and I think anyone looking for a good restaurant near Songdo Amusement Park should visit. It's seriously delicious, and the set is great too, haha.

I took my parents and they loved it, so I was very satisfied too.
