Gwangju Suwan gnocchi restaurant, 30-minute weekend wait: Bueokgan
Bueokgan Suwan Branch is a pasta, gnocchi and wood-fired pizza restaurant in the Suwan district of Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju. Arriving just after 12:30pm on a weekend meant a 20–30 minute wait, after which the writer shared truffle mushroom cream gnocchi at 22,000 won, seafood tomato pasta at 19,000 won and shrimp anchovy oil pasta at 18,000 won with her younger sister. The generous shrimp portions and the big gnocchi with its gentle truffle aroma made the whole meal worth the wait.
