My husband and I were trying to figure out what to eat for weekend lunch when I suddenly craved crispy donkatsu (breaded pork cutlet) after a long while. So off we went to Jinsim King Donkatsu.

I'd heard a lot that this place is famous for Pyeongdong Station lunch, and once I got there I understood exactly why everyone recommends it. The food was great, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was comfortable, so it was a satisfying meal from start to finish. Let me give you my honest review.
Is parking easy at Jinsim King Donkatsu Pyeongdong Branch?
The parking lot here is spacious, so I didn't worry at all about driving over. The first thing I loved as soon as we arrived was this huge lot, and it was so nice to walk in without any parking stress.

Even on a weekend lunch, there was plenty of parking space with zero stress. The restaurant was also easy to spot at a glance, and the clean exterior made a great first impression. If you're looking for Pyeongdong Station lunch, you don't need to worry about parking here.

It's a great spot for families and also an easy, low-pressure choice for couples.
Inside the restaurant and the self-bar — unlimited soup and broth refills
Walking into Jinsim King Donkatsu Pyeongdong Branch, the interior was much more spacious than I expected. The restroom is inside the store too, so it was convenient to use, and it was clean overall.

The tables were spaced generously so it never felt cramped, and everything was well kept overall.

They also have a baby chair!

There's a self-bar too, so we could help ourselves to as many side dishes or soup as we wanted.

My husband really loves soup, and he refilled it several times.

There's broth too! I think this kind of convenience is exactly why so many people come here for Pyeongdong Station lunch.

What we ordered
We ordered the Jinsim King Donkatsu, Cheese Waterfall Donkatsu, and Jinsim Kimchi Udon.

Tasting the Jinsim King Donkatsu, Cheese Waterfall Donkatsu, and Jinsim Kimchi Udon
First, the Jinsim King Donkatsu surprised me right off the bat with its size. It came out generous enough to fill the whole plate, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, with a nutty flavor that got better with every bite.

The moment the knife cut into the Cheese Waterfall Donkatsu, the cheese stretched out in long strands — the visual alone drew a gasp.

If you love cheese, I really recommend ordering this one.

The Jinsim Kimchi Udon had a refreshing, spicy broth that paired really well with the donkatsu. It cut through the richness, and the noodles had great chew, so I kept going back for more.

Donkatsu really is better with udon, I think. As a combination for Pyeongdong Station lunch, it was really satisfying. Eating it myself, I understood right away why it's so often recommended for Pyeongdong Station lunch.
The meat was tender and the coating was crispy, so it never got tiring even by the end.

The special sauce was sweet yet clean, and it went really well with the donkatsu. It also worked well with the salad, and with the kimchi udon on the side, the whole meal felt really filling.

My husband kept saying it was delicious and was the one to suggest we come back next time. I'd also go back without hesitation if I'm looking for Pyeongdong Station lunch.
