Hoyang Horim is a hanok café with a courtyard on a side street in Yangnim-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju, near Gwangju Christian Hospital. After visiting Hoyang Horim in spring, summer, fall and winter, this time the order with a friend was a decaf café latte, a vanilla bean cream latte, a mugwort injeolmi waffle and gotgamsando (dried persimmon sandwich cookie). The mugwort injeolmi waffle, piled with roasted soybean powder and mild in mugwort flavour, is gentle enough for kids too, which is why Hoyang Horim is worth returning to as each season changes.
