Shrimp and boneless dakgangjeong with slushy beer in Jeonju: Mannyeon

Mannyeon Dakgangjeong Hanok Village Direct Store is a takeout shop for dakgangjeong (crispy sweet-glazed fried chicken) on Taejo-ro in Jeonju Hanok Village. A medium shrimp-and-boneless set in the mild flavor made a late-night snack back at the lodging, alongside a slushy beer topped with a layer of fine ice picked up on a second pass that night. Mannyeon's dakgangjeong stayed crisp even after cooling, and its gentle fresh-fruit sauce sweetness made it easy to share with kids.

Avocado Yeosu is a café specializing in fresh avocado on Tongjeyeong 4-gil in Yeosu, South Jeolla. On a summer vacation stop, an avocado smoothie, avocado coffee and avocado ice cream were ordered at the Avocado Yeosu kiosk. All three were rich and not too sweet, as the café uses only fresh, never-frozen avocados. Open daily 09:00–22:00 and pet-friendly, Avocado Yeosu is a good place to take a break during a Yeosu trip.
