Yeosu café open till 10pm with pets welcome: Avocado Yeosu
In short
Avocado Yeosu is a café specializing in fresh avocado on Tongjeyeong 4-gil in Yeosu, South Jeolla. On a summer vacation stop, an avocado smoothie, avocado coffee and avocado ice cream were ordered at the Avocado Yeosu kiosk. All three were rich and not too sweet, as the café uses only fresh, never-frozen avocados. Open daily 09:00–22:00 and pet-friendly, Avocado Yeosu is a good place to take a break during a Yeosu trip.

With the weather getting hot these days, I went on a summer vacation to Yeosu, and this place caught my eye more than an ordinary café. I love avocado, so it was hard to just walk past. The shop itself was so cute!!

Avocado Yeosu, an avocado specialty café that stands out on Tongjeyeong-gil
The place is called Avocado Yeosu, and the name is so straightforward you can tell exactly what they sell at a glance. The atmosphere from the entrance was so cute that I naturally found myself walking in.

Once inside Avocado Yeosu, the interior was better decorated than I expected. There were seats set up so you could sit and eat, which made it a comfortable spot to rest during vacation.

There were quite a lot of related props scattered around the shop, so it was fun to look around. It was colorfully decorated, so personally I thought it was a decent space for photos too.

Printing photos with an instant camera and sticking them on the wall
What impressed me was that there's an instant camera set up so you can print out your own photo.

We took one too and stuck it lightly on the wall before leaving—it'll probably be a little memory to look for if we come back later.

Not frozen but fresh fruit avocado, ordered by kiosk
It was written here that they use only fresh fruit avocado, not frozen. They said it's made so that people who aren't used to avocado or don't usually eat it can enjoy it comfortably.

Ordering is done by kiosk. This time at Avocado Yeosu I ordered three things: an avocado smoothie, an avocado coffee, and an avocado ice cream.
Actually they also sell avocado banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich), so I was a little curious about that too. But since I'd already been snacking on things while traveling, I was too full to manage the banh mi. Next time I stop by, I'll definitely have to try that too.

How did the three avocado items taste? Ice cream, smoothie, coffee
The avocado ice cream came out first, with a light sprinkle of coconut powder on top. Taking a bite, the coconut gave it a bit of chew and brought out more of that nutty flavor. It was creamy but the texture wasn't boring at all, so it seemed like something both kids and adults could enjoy without issue.

The next one I tried, the avocado smoothie drink, tasted just like whole fresh fruit blended straight through. It wasn't sweet, and the plain natural flavor of the fruit really came through, so it went down easily without feeling heavy. It was rich yet clean enough that it could honestly be called one of Yeosu's best smoothie spots.

I was a little curious how the combination of fruit and coffee would work in the avocado coffee, but when I actually drank it, it had the kind of savory flavor you'd get from a nutty latte. The bitterness and nuttiness blended together surprisingly well—not a bad combo at all.

Hours and bringing pets along
The shop is open daily from 09:00 to 22:00, so you have plenty of time whether you visit early in the morning or drop by late in the evening. And since pets are allowed, it seemed like a good, comfortable option for people traveling with their dogs. These days, finding a place you can both go into together is oddly stressful to figure out, so it's handy to keep this in mind when stopping by a Jungang-dong café.

Avocado Yeosu has little things to look at scattered around and a cute atmosphere overall, so it seems like a good place to casually pop into while looking around the area. It's worth searching for when looking up recommended Yeosu cafés for your trip.

If I come back to Yeosu for vacation again, I'm planning to leave some room in my stomach next time and definitely order the avocado banh mi too. Even after coming home from vacation, looking at the photos from the trip, I sometimes think back to that smoothie I drank. If you want a real fresh avocado smoothie instead of drinks with liquid fructose or syrup, definitely visit Avocado Yeosu—totally recommend it!!
