While looking for a café in Namak where I could enjoy coffee and dessert together, I visited GRAY LAZY (그레이레이지). With its neat, modern gray-toned interior and lush green scenery beyond the windows, it was an even nicer place to linger than I expected. I thought it would also be a good pick for anyone looking for an atmospheric café around Muan or Mokpo.

An ordering system that lets you choose at your leisure
What stood out at GRAY LAZY was its slightly unusual ordering system. Rather than ordering right at the counter, I could first take a menu, sit wherever I wanted, and look through it slowly.

There were pencils on the tables too, so I could mark my choices on the menu before ordering. True to the café's name, it felt nice to step away from a busy day and take my time.

What I actually ordered at GRAY LAZY
- Super-sweet-corn Lazy Latte ₩6,500
- Two iced Americanos ₩9,600
- Chocolate churros ₩6,500

This is what I ordered. Since these were the items I ordered in person, I'll share my honest thoughts on the taste, too.

What does the super-sweet-corn Lazy Latte taste like?
The Lazy Latte was the first menu item that caught my eye. Its super-sweet-corn topping made it cute from the start. Along with the soft cream, it had a nutty, sweet super-sweet-corn flavor.

As I drank it, I could also taste a hint of the sweet milk I had as a child, so it felt subtly familiar and delicious.

It was softly sweet rather than overly sugary, so I think anyone who likes sweet lattes would enjoy it.

Chocolate churros fried to order
Personally, the chocolate churros were what I remembered most. The order comes with four long churros, sliced almonds, and chocolate dipping sauce.

They were fried as soon as I ordered, so they arrived warm, crisp outside, and sweet.

Scissors and tongs come with them, so you can cut them into easy-to-eat pieces. Dipping them in the rich chocolate sauce added even more sweetness. Adding the sliced almonds brought another layer of crunch, too.
They made a great dessert to enjoy with coffee.

Sweet desserts and Americano make a great match
After having the sweet latte and churros, the Americano was a perfect match. It was clean and refreshing, making it easy to drink alongside sweet desserts. The churros-and-Americano pairing was especially good, as expected.

GRAY LAZY in Muan also has a wide range of sweet desserts to enjoy with an Americano. I tried the chocolate churros this time, but on my next visit, I would like to try the boni chestnut cake for ₩8,500, too.

The bagel set for ₩5,500, too,

and the custard pudding for ₩5,000 also looked like things I definitely wanted to try.
A spacious café that still felt relaxed when busy
When I visited, the café was almost full. So many people were coming that there was even a wait. It is a popular café with plenty of customers, but it did not feel especially noisy or crowded. Perhaps because the space is so large, the atmosphere remained relaxed and comfortable; even with all the people, I could enjoy my time there.

It would be nice to visit alone for a quiet coffee and break, or with a partner for a date. It also seemed good for chatting with friends or family. As I ate delicious coffee and churros while looking at the green park scenery outside, I felt as though I had stepped away from everyday life for a while and truly had a relaxing rest.

Park views and a polished space
At GRAY LAZY, not just the menu but the space itself had a comfortable atmosphere.

The clean black-and-gray interior was both polished and atmospheric. In particular, the bar table is great for sitting side by side over coffee and conversation, so it would really set the mood for a date with a partner. There are also seats with outlets, making it seem like a decent place for studying at a café, laptop work, or reading.

Above all, it was a lovely space for having a cup of coffee while looking out at the scenery, and for relaxed conversations with friends or family.

A park-view café worth stopping by in Namak
After visiting in person, what stayed with me about GRAY LAZY were the park view, spacious setting, signature Lazy Latte, and churros fried to order. If you especially like sweet coffee and freshly fried churros, I would recommend ordering them together.

If you are looking for a popular café with a nice atmosphere in Namak or Muan, it may be worth stopping by.
GRAY LAZY hours and parking
Hours are 11:00–24:00. GRAY LAZY has a free public parking lot nearby. I parked there that day myself, and it is about a one-minute walk from the café. If you are visiting by car, the nearby public parking lot should be convenient.
GRAY LAZY in Namak is on the second floor of the building. There is no sign outside, so it could be easy to walk right past it on a first visit. Go up to the second floor from this entrance.
