Today I'm sharing an honest review after visiting Bueokgan Suwan Branch, well known as a date spot and pasta brunch restaurant in the Suwan district — I tried the couple set!

What are the seating and atmosphere like at Bueokgan Suwan Branch?
Bueokgan Suwan Branch has a range of seating, from bar seats to tables for 2, 4, and 8, and it also has a high chair, so it's good for visiting with a baby. The big windows give an open feeling and there's a bit of a European vibe too. For group reservations of 10 or more, they recommend calling or booking through Naver.
What's in Bueokgan's Couple Set B, and what we ordered
You order at Bueokgan Suwan Branch through a kiosk! Couple Set B comes with salad + pasta or rice + pizza + 2 drinks. Here's what we ordered:
- Salad (basic)
- Carbonara (+₩1,000)
- Rucola pizza (+₩5,000)
- Iced americano, single grapefruit

The neatly arranged tableware was so pretty too 🤍

Even the basic salad comes with jamón and tomato
The basic salad in Couple Set B came with jamón and tomato, and the sauce was really tasty. The salad came out first — I expected a basic salad to just be veggies with a drizzle of dressing, but this was great for whetting the appetite before the main dishes arrived.

How the americano and single grapefruit taste
Bueokgan's americano leans more nutty than sour, totally our style!! The single grapefruit is grapefruit juice without carbonation — I love grapefruit juice, and I liked this even more than an ade.

Once the pasta and pizza arrived, the table was completely full! 🤍 The plating was pretty even before tasting, which made it a joy for the eyes. I heard a lot of people come here for wedding invitation meetups and dates because of the pretty plating and atmosphere — I get it!

Bueokgan's rucola pizza tastes even better with salad piled on top
Bueokgan's rucola pizza is loaded with fresh rucola, jamón, and cheese. I love rucola pizza and order it whenever I see it on a menu, and Bueokgan's was really delicious.

The combo of nutty cheese, fresh rucola, and salty jamón is amazing! Here's a tip — piling the vegetables and tomato from the salad onto the rucola pizza makes it even more delicious 😋😋

How to eat Bueokgan's carbonara with poached egg
For Bueokgan's carbonara, breaking the poached egg and mixing it in thoroughly makes it so yummy. The creamy sauce with thick bacon and mushrooms on top is delicious.

The creamy yet nutty carbonara pairs well with the salty bacon, and it also goes really well with the fresh, tangy rucola pizza.

Would I revisit Bueokgan Suwan Branch?
Bueokgan Suwan Branch had a great atmosphere, great food, and such friendly staff that I felt good from the moment I walked in until I left. We ate and ate and ate, and the other menu items looked so good that I'm planning to visit again soon hahaha.

Bueokgan Suwan Branch also sells wine besides drinks, and if you check the Naver Reservations page, they occasionally run events, so it's worth taking a look :)

Besides the Suwan branch, Bueokgan also runs a Sangmu branch — same menu but a different vibe, so I alternate between the two, hehe. If you like pasta brunch, I recommend visiting Bueokgan Suwan Branch ❤️🤍
