Phodam Jeonju City Hall Branch is a pho restaurant on Paldal-ro in Jeonju where you can eat authentic handmade Vietnamese food, made from a Vietnamese chef's recipes, at reasonable prices. I went back again to what I think is the tastiest pho in Jeonju!! Third visit~!!! Coming back again means it's really good, right~!!

Phodam always has a queue at lunch!! And this is also a review of Phodam in Jeonju for breakfast, since they serve that too!

And especially this crispy banh xeo (Vietnamese crispy pancake)!! Phodam is a great pho place in Jeonju, but the banh xeo is so good you have to order it!! It tastes just like eating in Vietnam~~~

Phodam Jeonju City Hall Branch is at 262-9 Paldal-ro, Wansan-gu, Jeonju, Jeonbuk, South Korea (1st floor), and it is open daily 08:30-20:30. There's room for 1-2 cars in front of the shop at all times, and on weekends you can park on the roadside between Zain Plus Hospital and Save Zone.

You can also get 1 hour of free parking at the Nosongcheon Public Parking Lot.

It tastes like Vietnam brought right here! This time at Phodam Jeonju City Hall Branch, we ordered shank pho, brisket pho, banh xeo, cha gio (Vietnamese fried spring rolls), and extra cilantro.

The chef at Phodam (PHO) developed the best broth recipe from his home country's family pho broth secrets, using Hanwoo (Korean beef) bone stock and fresh ingredients, and I hear he prepares the broth every morning before serving pho. That's why it's so good.

Phodam shank pho: how are the meat portion and broth?

Phodam's shank pho is made with broth simmered from 1+ grade Hanwoo bones, topped with plenty of beef shank. That's why whenever I visit Phodam I always order 2 bowls of pho! This one is the shank pho~

The meat is tender and there's a ton of it!! Elsewhere this would cost over ₩10,000~ Phodam is great value 👍

The reason I love Phodam's pho is that clean broth!! The light pho broth with no grease at all is really good. I highly recommend it as a hangover cure too~~ It refreshes you right down to your stomach, and your mouth feels clean!

Phodam brisket pho, an easy bowl for kids

Phodam's brisket pho has the same base broth as the shank pho, but it's topped with rich, tender beef brisket belly, so it's perfect for a light, easy meal.

The brisket in the brisket pho is so tender that it's great for young kids! My elementary schooler polished off a whole bowl~~

How much cilantro do you get when you ask for extra?

When you order extra cilantro at Phodam, they give you a generous heap. I love cilantro, so I added it to my pho, and I was so impressed by how much they gave 👍 Eating it with all that cilantro, it feels like I'm in Vietnam!! haha

Phodam cha gio: crispy outside, juicy inside

Phodam's cha gio looks just like the ones I had in Vietnam~~ You can tell how crispy the outside is just by looking.

The crispy-outside, juicy-inside cha gio is packed with filling, and dunking it in nuoc cham (fish sauce dipping sauce) is the best 👍

How do you eat banh xeo at Phodam?

Phodam's banh xeo is a Vietnamese pancake with a generous filling of bean sprouts, meat and vegetables in an egg batter. Banh xeo~~~~ Isn't it pretty? It's packed with bean sprouts, meat and vegetables~~

Put lettuce and thinly sliced vegetables on a sheet of rice paper, add the banh xeo, roll it all up, dunk it in nuoc cham and pop it into your mouth~~~~

We had a weekend brunch at Phodam Jeonju City Hall Branch, and if you want real Vietnamese food like pho, cha gio and banh xeo, Phodam is the best in Jeonju! The broth itself is deep yet refreshing and clean, so for pho, definitely go to Phodam in Jeonju~

Next time I'm going to try the banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) haha. I saw people taking it to go.. and it looked so good! If you're deciding on pho in Jeonju, visit Phodam. You'll totally become a regular haha
