Pocheon café with my daughter, mini tissue bread: Geurine Oasis
In short
Geurine Oasis (그리네 오아시스) is a large bakery café facing Gomori Reservoir in Soheul-eup, Pocheon, and a popular stop on Pocheon trips thanks to its closeness to Gwangneung Arboretum. On a weekday afternoon the writer and her daughter ordered drinks at a dedicated kids & pets kiosk, then enjoyed mini tissue bread, torn off one layer at a time, and a nutty vanilla bean latte with views of the reservoir. Visit Geurine Oasis on a weekday for quiet lake views and easy rooftop seating.

What kind of café is Geurine Oasis?
Geurine Oasis (그리네 오아시스) is a large bakery café in front of Gomori Reservoir in Soheul-eup, Pocheon, and it's well known as a stop on Pocheon trip itineraries. It's open Monday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
I stopped by during a Pocheon trip too!! It's easy to get to, so I think lots of people come. The area around Gomori Reservoir is also famous as a date course, as far as I know.

The café's signature photo zone, haha. The weather was so nice that I wanted to take photos of my daughter, but I forgot and didn't get any... haha 😅

Where do you order at Geurine Oasis?
Geurine Oasis has two buildings, a main building and an annex, and you order in the main building.

And this is the main building, haha.

Right after you walk into the main building, there are kiosks on the left where you can order.

My daughter's pick: mini tissue bread
As a bakery café, Geurine Oasis had many kinds of bread. My daughter chose the mini tissue bread, which you peel off one sheet at a time.
The one my daughter wanted... what was it called, that bread you peel off layer by layer!! Oh!! Mini tissue bread!! It was fun to peel it apart piece by piece. Nutty and tasty~

There's a separate kiosk for kids & pets
The far-right kiosk in the Geurine Oasis main building is dedicated to kids & pets. It's sorted into drinks for children and treats for dogs.
When I went to order, funnily enough, haha, the far-right kiosk was a kids & pets kiosk. I've never seen a kiosk categorized separately like this, lol! It's split into drinks for kids and treats for dogs! My daughter picked the mini tissue bread and chose her drink from this kiosk, lol. She thought it was fun.
There were simple notices posted, and since it was my first visit I got confused about which building was the main one and which was the annex, but there were signs here and there so I didn't get too lost. The space is fairly big, haha, so you need to look for the signs and read them!!

Interior and Gomori Reservoir view
The interior at Geurine Oasis is pretty and the Gomori Reservoir lake view is lovely, so it's worth recommending as a date spot. Drinks come in reusable cups.
While I was lost in the pretty interior, our drinks and bread came out, haha. The interior is totally my taste... Visiting on a nice day and being somewhere so pretty put me in a good mood.

Even random shots come out so pretty, haha. The drinks came in reusable cups, which I really liked too. Tasty coffee and bread, a clear sky and the lake... wow, a perfect match! It's honestly a great place for a date! Couples, I highly recommend it~ lol

A gentle breeze was blowing~ it was just the perfect day.
The mini tissue bread is fun to peel apart layer by layer, haha. I think the name is clever too. One sheet at a time, like tissue, lol.

What a view T_T I want to go again, lol.

Where is the dog-friendly area at Geurine Oasis?
The front of the Geurine Oasis main building is fenced off with glass, and guests with dogs can use this area. When we went... nobody was using it.
How was the vanilla bean latte?
The vanilla bean latte at Geurine Oasis had a strong coffee flavor, nutty and without any acidity. For the record, I'm not really into acidic coffee... it's just not my taste. This one suited me.

Annex seating, fire pit and rooftop seats
The Geurine Oasis annex also has plenty of tables and separate men's and women's restrooms. In one corner of the annex there's a fire pit spot (bulmeong, fire-gazing), which costs ₩9,900 for 30 minutes. It seems worth trying for about 30 minutes.
There are also seats on the annex rooftop. Everyone sat in front of the lake or indoors, so there were no guests on the rooftop.
Weekday or weekend: when should you go?
I visited on a weekday afternoon, so it felt quiet. I hear it gets very crowded on weekends. Weekdays are definitely quieter and better~~

The view from the rooftop~ wow, this place really is a view hotspot. I zoned out looking at the lake, a cool breeze came by... and I thought, this is happiness~ I rested happily with tasty bread and coffee.
On my next Pocheon trip, I'd like to book a stay near Gomori Reservoir and come back to this café, haha. Next time, with the fire pit~ lol
