What kind of bar is Rainbow Pocha near Isu Station?
Rainbow Pocha is a newly opened cooking pub in Isu: roomy, with tasty snacks (anju) and a wide menu. It is open from 16:00 to 04:30 at 40 Dongjak-daero 27ga-gil, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, 1F and 2F. There is no parking, so I parked at a nearby public car park.

It's been a while since I visited the Isu and Sadang area! For some reason I keep ending up around here lately, though...

Anyway! I was meeting a friend I hadn't seen in ages for a drink! There are so many good places around Isu and Sadang that we considered a spot my friend knew, but traffic made my friend late, so I just went with Rainbow Pocha, which I had found myself. Pick!!!

Rainbow Pocha is a two-story standalone building, so it's really spacious inside, with outdoor-style seats and even platform seating. It seemed to have opened not long ago, and the food looked so good that I picked it on the spot, so I was excited haha
1F seats: window seats and an outdoor platform
On the first floor of Rainbow Pocha there are window seats where you can drink while looking outside, and an outdoor platform (pyeongsang, a raised wooden deck) seat. The seats with a view outside are definitely popular.

I had a bit of a cold that day and it was too chilly, so I avoided the air conditioning and took a seat further inside, sob.

There's also a platform seat outside. It's properly outdoors, so not quite a street-stall vibe, but the platform made it feel unusual. It feels like you should be eating baeksuk (whole chicken soup) or dakbokkeumtang (spicy braised chicken) here...? haha
2F seats: platforms, group seating and rooms
The second floor of Rainbow Pocha has platform seats, tables and group seating. Lots of groups get together around Sadang and Isu, and these seats are for them!

And a platform like this reminds you of a mountain valley, right? You can take your shoes off, chat comfortably and eat, which made it even better haha

There are rooms at the back of the second floor too. Platforms, outdoor-style seats, tables and rooms, Rainbow Pocha has it all! I understood right away why it was so busy! lol There's also a hu~uge TV, so it seems good when you're looking for a bar to watch baseball or soccer.
Rainbow Pocha menu and how to order
At Rainbow Pocha you order on the tablet at each table and pay on your way out. The signature here is dakbokkeumtang!!!!!!

My friend had dakbokkeumtang for lunch so I couldn't order it, but I'll try it next time lol

How was the gambas at Rainbow Pocha?
The shrimp in the gambas at Rainbow Pocha was delicious, and bread comes with it by default, but I added extra bread and stuffed myself. I was the one who ordered the gambas^^^^^^^

My friend was seriously, really, super late, so I ordered what I wanted without asking, and it turns out my friend can't eat shrimp? So I ate it all by myself. Even better lol The shrimp was good and I added bread and stuffed myself h.h By the way, bread comes by default! I just got extra!
Fried corn and the vibe at Rainbow Pocha
The fried corn at Rainbow Pocha was sweet and crunchy, so good! I started with somaek (soju mixed with beer), so I picked a fried snack.

Rainbow Pocha, a great bar near Isu Station!

I waited a moment to take a full shot haha Food comes out fast at Rainbow Pocha, and even with so many seats and so many people, the staff were rea~~~lly kind, and I still remember it!

Even the extra bread I added came out! haha

A drink with a friend I hadn't seen in forever! One drink became two~ and Rainbow Pocha's food is so good that the drinks just kept going down!
The extra order: giant pork cutlet
The giant pork cutlet at Rainbow Pocha comes with two big cutlets. I ordered it as an extra, and it's supposed to be two, but they gave me the wrong amount and brought one more!

The cutlet was good too~ Everything was tasty and fun at Rainbow Pocha in Isu!
