Hyangdong Korean restaurant with kids and mustard-free sauce
Doonjeong is a Korean restaurant tucked into the Kkotnaeum 1-gil alley in Hyangdong, Goyang, Gyeonggi, and has been listed in the Blue Ribbon Survey two years running. Visiting at dinner with two children, the writer ordered the clear Korean beef gomtang (special) and beef yukhoe bibimbap, and was won over when the staff asked in advance whether to leave out the green onion and brought a mustard-free sauce plus unbreakable brass bowls for the kids. Doonjeong has no lot of its own, so plan your parking by time of day — otherwise it is an easy recommendation for a family dinner with children.
