Daejeon Korean BBQ with no hanging hood, cast-iron lid: Jeonju House
Jeonju House is a Korean pork belly restaurant in Bongmyeong-dong, Yuseong, Daejeon, at the far end of the back gate of Gyeryong Spatel. A couple ordered two servings of fresh pork belly with doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and rice, grilling domestic pork belly and kimchi together on a huge cast-iron pot lid, and talking face to face was easy because Jeonju House uses only a ceiling vent instead of a long hood that drops over the grill. The thick pork belly with grilled kimchi and the house-made side dishes are what stay with you.
