Bantiannyao Kaoyu Daejeon Branch is a Chinese fish hotpot (kaoyu) restaurant in Seo-gu, Daejeon, next to the Galleria in Dunsan-dong. Ordering the green Sichuan pepper kaoyu with a vegetable-mushroom mix and the ₩2,000 per-person self bar, even pulling out most of the chilies for a spice-shy palate still left plenty of kick. If you like numbing spice and tender fish, rice is non-negotiable.
