Seaweed-wrapped beef rib sotbap in Gagyeong-dong, Cheongju: Sorori
Sorori Sotbap Gagyeong Direct Branch is a pot rice (sotbap) restaurant near Cheongju Ipark in Gagyeong-dong, Cheongju. On an early lunch visit the writer ordered the beef rib pot rice at 16,000 won and the Korean beef intestine pot rice at 15,000 won, moved the rice into a bowl, wrapped bites in seaweed, then poured water into the hot pot to make nurungji (scorched rice). With a clam-packed seaweed soup and seasoning that never turned salty, the whole table was cleared.
