In short

Kkoko Land is a bar and eatery near Sangsang Madang between Hongdae and Sangsu in Mapo, Seoul, that shows KBO postseason games on three large screens during fall baseball season. After work, the writer and his wife watched a Samsung vs Kia game at Kkoko Land over black aglio sauced chicken (22,000 won), spicy odeng (fish cake) soup with fresh whelk (36,000 won) and Cass beer. Kkoko Land is a good Sangsu bar for beer and cheering together on days you can't make it to the stadium.

Kkoko Land: a Sangsu bar for beer and fall baseball on big screens

Kkoko Land (꼬꼬랜드) is a bar between Hongdae and Sangsu, near Sangsang Madang (18 Wausan-ro 19-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul, 1F and 2F), and during fall baseball season it shows KBO postseason games on big screens. With the postseason in full swing, I heard there was a place in Hongdae where you can watch the games on a huge screen, so I went! It's the kind of place baseball fans will love, and I'm going to introduce this great Sangsu spot for a beer.

What are Kkoko Land's entrance and atmosphere like?

The entrance is huge, and I love the joke of writing "Dalkseulaeng" (chicken-lin) instead of Michelin on the sign. With a name like Kkoko Land you'd expect an amusement park, but there's a waterwheel, which reminded me of the Korean Folk Village.

How do you watch KBO baseball at Kkoko Land?

Kkoko Land shows baseball on big screens inside, so it's a Sangsu bar that baseball fans flock to in fall baseball season. The beer is also wonderfully cold~ On this day, because of the game, most guests ate indoors, but there's a terrace too, so on a nice day it's a great place for a beer outside!

There are about three big screens, so the game is easy to see from any seat! That day was Samseong (Samsung) vs Kia, and there were quite a lot of Samsung fans. Samsung won that day, so the cheering and excitement felt even bigger~ There are also rooms for groups, so it works if you want more privacy too.

Kkoko Land's free snacks and welcome drink

You order by QR code, and once you order, a chicken drumstick snack and orange juice come out as a starter! Such a nice touch~~ A bar that gives you a welcome drink? No wonder it's known as a go-to beer spot in Sangsu.

How does Kkoko Land's black aglio sauced chicken taste?

The black aglio sauced chicken was crispy, crispy, crispy, through and through. It has garlic flakes, so you get a subtle garlic aroma, and the sauce was a sweet-and-salty delight. The cabbage salad on the side was really good too!

What was the spicy odeng soup with fresh whelk like?

The broth of the raw whelk odeng soup was seriously spicy and hearty, perfect for this time of year!! Nibbling on an odeng skewer while watching baseball is great, and the whelks slip right out of their shells.

An after-work couple's date at Kkoko Land watching Samsung vs Kia

Once the food was out, cheers~~ It felt so good to have a beer with my wife at Kkoko Land after work, for the first time in a while! You get delicious food and baseball cheering in one place, which made it an extra special date.
