Gukbap and takeout sundae in Bangu-dong, Ulsan: Jongga Dwaejigukbap
Jongga Dwaejigukbap is a pork gukbap (rice and pork-broth soup) restaurant in a Seowon 3-gil alley in Jung-gu, Ulsan. On a chilly day the writer had mixed gukbap and a tasting plate of suyuk (boiled pork slices) for lunch at Jongga Dwaejigukbap, then took sundae (Korean blood sausage) back to the office to share — the broth was clear and clean with no gamy smell, and the portions of offal and meat were generous. There is no parking lot, but the house-made side dishes made it a satisfying 10,000-won meal.
