About

Gisul is an izakaya built around Hanwoo beef tartare (yukhoe), Hanwoo beef sashimi, mungtigi and salmon sashimi, alongside handmade Chinese, Japanese and Korean dishes. Gisul is run by six young people who study food and drink; every sauce at Gisul is made in-house, and the raw Hanwoo beef is aged and managed before serving. Gisul's signature Gisul Hansang pairs Hanwoo beef tartare and Hanwoo beef sashimi with gamtae (seaweed) rolls and vegetable rolls, served with gamtae, gim (laver), aged kimchi (mukeunji), house-made black sesame, sesame-oil salt dip, a special mungtigi sauce and a house-made poached-egg sauce.

For drinks, Gisul offers Suntory The Premium Malt's on draught, six kinds of highball and several traditional Korean liquors, and Gisul's staff can recommend a highball or traditional liquor to match the food. Gisul's interior is fitted with large tables, and Gisul plays songs that guests request.
