About

Haehwatang is a café that reinterprets Jeju's nature through the concept of a public bathhouse, and every hour on the hour and at half past, mist is released to drift through the Haehwatang interior. The centrepiece of the Haehwatang space is the 'Eumtang (音湯)', an installation in which clay vessels knock against one another with the flow of water to make sound.

The bathhouse concept carries over to the Haehwatang drinks: the Americano that shares the café's name is served as 'hot bath' (hot) or 'cold bath' (iced). The Haehwatang menu also features Jeju-ingredient drinks such as organic pressed Jeju tangerine juice and Jeju green tangerine ade, wine drinks such as vin chaud and sangria, and wish candles.
