Kinship is a café in a small village facing Mulchi Beach, between Yangyang and Sokcho, occupying the 1st and 2nd floors of a building designed by architect Professor Kim In-cheol together with the surfer who runs Kinship, which also operates a stay. Kinship's signature feature is its 'ceiling water-gazing' effect: three surfboard-shaped acrylic windows cut into the ceiling let rippling, wave-like light flow through the room.
All desserts and creams at Kinship are made by hand in-house, and Kinship serves crumbles such as Apple Crumble and Chodang Corn Crumble Cake, along with Kinship Tiramisu and Chodang Corn Tiramisu, alongside specialty coffee. Drinks at Kinship include Pistachio Cream Latte, Mazagran, Espresso Tonic, Bam Bam Bam Latte, and Flat Peach and Gold Mango ades. A park, a playground and a walking trail sit in front of Kinship.
