A frozen pork spot found in Dongseong-ro: Suyeong Naengsam

Just when I was craving frozen pork, I heard there was a great frozen pork place in Dongseong-ro, so I had to go!! Let me review Suyeong Naengsam (수영냉삼), a Daegu favorite 🙆🏻♀️

Lots of well-known people have visited too, so there were tons of signatures, haha. Also, you know the quick-frozen thin-sliced pork belly that Psy reportedly ate 20 servings of at Seocho Galbi in Busan!! They say Suyeong Naengsam uses pork supplied by Seocho Galbi, which is popular with celebrities 🤩 Ahh, how delicious must it be~~~~? I think I found a really good frozen pork spot in Daegu 👍

And it is domestic 1+ grade female pork, under six months old..!! Yet the price is so reasonable..!!! No need to go all the way to Busan~~~?
What we ordered and the side dishes
We ordered three servings of quick-frozen thin-sliced pork, three servings of quick-frozen pork belly, meat doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), and bibim guksu (spicy mixed noodles) 🙆🏻♀️

The basic side dishes came out. I loved how clean and neatly presented they were. The lettuce and scallion jaeraegi salad was refreshing and so good, and their house-made green onion kimchi and kimchi were delicious too, haha. They say you can tell whether a place is good by its side dishes~ This Dongseong-ro frozen pork place has great side dishes too, haha.

You can get extra side dishes from the self-service bar!!

Near the kitchen, the owner was diligently slicing the meat!! Seeing it sliced right there made me trust it even more 🤩

These are potatoes, mushrooms, eggplant, and rice cakes from the self-service bar, and the sliced potatoes here are the real kicker. Once you try them, you will keep going back for more~~

How we grilled the quick-frozen thin-sliced pork
Ta-da~~~~!! The quick-frozen thin-sliced pork came out first. It was sliced so prettily, haha.
They said it tastes better when you sprinkle salt on it before grilling, so we tried it.. and there really was a difference between the salted and unsalted versions 🤩 Thanks to the owner's kind explanation, we could enjoy it even more!

Ta-da~~ The best thing about frozen pork is that you can eat it quickly, right!! After flipping it just twice, it was ready to eat, haha.

First, put the meat on the grill. When it starts to wrinkle as it cooks, flip it once; when that side starts cooking, flip it one more time and eat it right away 🤩🤩🤩 The quick-frozen thin-sliced pork was savory and tender, so easy to eat too, haha.

It is a perfect match with jaeraegi salad too 👍

Quick-frozen pork belly with more chew
This time, it is quick-frozen pork belly. It is definitely thicker than the quick-frozen thin-sliced pork, right~~?

It takes a little longer than the quick-frozen thin-sliced pork, but this cooks quickly too, haha. If you want more to chew on!! If you want a little more springiness!! I recommend the quick-frozen pork belly~~

We kept refilling the potatoes and grilling them with salt too. They are thin, cook fast, and are wonderfully savory!

Meat doenjang stew and bibim noodles too
Frozen pork cooks so fast that you need somewhere to put the cooked meat, and the owner thoughtfully provided a stand for it 🤩🤩
You can choose meat or seafood for the doenjang stew too! Such a thoughtful touch, right~? We were craving meat doenjang stew, so that is what we ordered; it had lots of meat and vegetables, and it was mild, rich, and delicious, haha.

Just as things were about to get a little rich, we ordered bibim noodles to eat with the meat. The seasoning was deliciously sweet and tangy, so we finished a whole bowl without feeling greasy 🤩
I visited Suyeong Naengsam, a Daegu frozen pork favorite. First of all, the tender, fresh-tasting meat was great! The staff were kind too, haha. It was good value, and while you might think frozen pork would come in small portions, there was plenty—we left absolutely stuffed! I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for great frozen pork in Daegu, and I think it is a place that will satisfy any gathering, whether with family, friends, or coworkers!!! 🤩👍
