Hydrating facial cleanser for normal to dry skin: HEEDA makeup test
In short
HEEDA Moist Forest Hydrating Cleansing Foam is a low-pH hydrating facial cleanser for normal to dry skin, formulated with aqua ceramide, 7 types of hyaluronic acid and 5,000ppm Jirisan charcoal, and it was used here both as a morning wash and as a makeup cleanser. With cushion foundation, eyeliner, pearl eyeshadow and lipstick swatched on the back of the hand, the cushion, shadow and lip colour mostly faded on the first rolling pass, while the eyeliner cleared on the second. For anyone who wants little tightness after washing, HEEDA Moist Forest Hydrating Cleansing Foam strikes a decent balance between cleansing power and comfort.

A cleansing foam that leaves my skin feeling stiff and tight afterward is one I stop reaching for. I was curious about HEEDA's Moist Forest Hydrating Cleansing Foam, which claims a hydrating finish, so I tried it myself. I even tested its cleansing power by swatching cushion foundation, eyeliner, pearl eyeshadow, and lipstick on the back of my hand — here's what I honestly thought, from the foam to the after-wash feel.
What is HEEDA Moist Forest Hydrating Cleansing Foam?
HEEDA Moist Forest Hydrating Cleansing Foam is said to be a mildly acidic cleansing foam containing aqua ceramide, 7 types of hyaluronic acid, and 5,000ppm Jirisan charcoal. I picked it up while looking for something easy to use both for cleansing off makeup and as a morning facial cleanser.

Since this is a product I use every morning and night, cleansing power matters, but so does whether my skin feels too tight afterward — that's something I always pay attention to.

HEEDA Moist Forest Hydrating Cleansing Foam is a mildly acidic cleansing foam containing aqua ceramide, 7 types of hyaluronic acid, and 5,000ppm Jirisan charcoal.

I'd been looking for something comfortable to use both after makeup and as a morning cleanse — so how did it actually perform?
How does the HEEDA foam lather?
Squeezed out, HEEDA Cleansing Foam had a texture close to a dense cream. Combined with water, it built up into a pretty rich foam 🫧
The foam was soft enough to roll gently over my face, which I liked — no need to scrub hard while washing.
Does HEEDA cleansing foam remove cushion, eyeliner, shadow and lipstick?
I tested HEEDA Cleansing Foam's cleansing power by swatching a variety of makeup products I normally use — cushion foundation, eyeliner, pearl eyeshadow, and lipstick — on the back of my hand.

To check the cleansing power, I applied the cushion, eyeliner, pearl eyeshadow, and lipstick I normally wear onto the back of my hand.

After applying the cleanser and rolling it gently the first time, the cushion, eyeshadow, and lipstick had mostly faded, but a bit of eyeliner was still visible. Rather than claim everything disappeared in one swipe, I wanted to show the honest test results. So what happens with a second pass?
Rolling it a little more thoroughly a second time cleared away the remaining eyeliner completely.
After rinsing with water, the makeup on the back of my hand had come off cleanly overall. That said, the test product isn't waterproof, so for long-wear color cosmetics, pairing it with a dedicated remover or a first-cleanse product would likely work better.
Does HEEDA cleansing foam leave skin tight after washing?
After the hand test, I used HEEDA Cleansing Foam on my face directly. The foam felt soft while washing, and after rinsing, my skin didn't feel parched and dry — it had a relatively hydrated feel.

Of course how it feels will vary by skin type, but for me personally, this was a cleansing foam with a good balance between cleansing power and post-wash comfort.
Is HEEDA Moist Forest Hydrating Cleansing Foam worth buying?
A cleansing foam is something you use every day, so I think what matters most isn't flashy features but whether it actually cleanses well and leaves skin feeling comfortable afterward. Testing the makeup cleansing power directly, the cushion, eyeshadow, and lipstick mostly came off with the first rolling pass, and the eyeliner cleared up completely with one more pass.
My skin didn't feel overly stiff or tight after washing, so if you prefer a hydrating-feel cleanser like I do, this one might be worth trying :)
