A stylish Italian restaurant discovered in Yeonnam-dong

It had been a while since our last date in Yeonnam-dong 🥰 As we looked for somewhere to have lunch, we found this Italian restaurant with such a nice atmosphere :) Yeonnam-dong has so many good restaurants and pretty cafés, making it a great date area—and the place we found was Classicdang (클래식당).

They serve a range of Italian dishes, including pasta, pizza, lasagna, and risotto. Looking through reviews, I kept seeing people mention the date-friendly atmosphere and outdoor terrace. If you want an atmospheric meal outside when there is a cool breeze like there has been lately, I totally recommend Classicdang. A little sunshine, pasta, and pizza—and you can get that European feeling, haha 😊😊 If you have a date planned in Yeonnam-dong, I think you should definitely stop by. The atmosphere is seriously the best 💕

The weather was lovely, so we sat at an outdoor table. For outdoor tables, you need to go inside to order and pay first. Water, side plates, cutlery, napkins, and anything else you need are self-service.

I love the most classic option, Margherita pizza, so we ordered that along with the crab cheese rosé pasta.

Margherita pizza worth eating right to the crust

Margherita pizza 🍕 When I choose a pizza place, toppings matter, but I also care quite a lot about whether the dough is good. The pizza dough at Classicdang won me over from the start. Maybe because it comes out of a wood-fired oven, the edge was a little crisp while the inside had a pleasantly chewy texture. I especially loved the nutty wood-fired aroma and crisp dough that are so characteristic of wood-fired pizza.

The tang of the tomato sauce, the nuttiness of the cheese, and the chewiness of the dough came together cleanly without being overpowering, so I never got tired of it and kept reaching for more. Above all, the dough was so good that I could eat every last bit of the crust! If you are wondering, “Where can I get great wood-fired pizza in Yeonnam-dong?” this is a place worth trying 🍕❤️

Moist and saucy crab cheese rosé pasta

🍝 Crab cheese rosé pasta—doesn't that sound like a combination that would be hard to make bad from the name alone? Haha. The savory umami of the crab is joined by cheese and rosé sauce, so it went wonderfully with the clean-tasting Margherita pizza. The creamy character of the rosé made it satisfying without feeling too heavy, and the crab's distinctive umami came through here and there.

The sauce coated the pasta well, so every bite had plenty of rosé flavor 🍝 There was also lots of sauce, making this a moist, easy-to-slurp-and-enjoy pasta. I dipped pizza in it now and then too. Hahaha. One bite of Margherita pizza, then one bite of crab cheese rosé pasta—the pairing was so good. The pizza was mild and nutty, while the pasta had that crab umami, so their flavors did not overlap.

It was definitely there, but after we scraped up every last bit, it had all disappeared... haha. More than anything, the restaurant had such a nice atmosphere that it was easy to talk comfortably on a date. If you visit during the day, I think it would also be great as an atmospheric Yeonnam-dong Italian brunch ☀️ On a nice day, I recommend eating on the outdoor terrace, then taking a slow walk through the Yeonnam-dong alleys afterward 💕💕
