I watched a children’s magic show at Magic & Joy Gwanggyo (매직앤조이 광교) in Galleria Department Store in Gwanggyo, Suwon, with my child, who is not yet two. I worried it might be too early for my child to enjoy magic, but they watched with more focus than I expected.

This was my first time learning about this venue. In addition to children’s magic shows, it hosts various performances for adults and children, including standing comedy.

How did we wait with a child after booking?

We booked online in advance before visiting. There was plenty of space to wait before the show, so it was comfortable to wait with my child.

There were several photo zones, so we spent time taking pictures together.

Are there seating facilities for babies and children?

The theater was compact, but still felt spacious enough for watching the show. The seats were comfortable, and I sat without discomfort for about an hour. Seat cushions, height-boosting cushions for children, and baby chairs were also available.

Did a child under two stay focused on the magic show?

The following includes some details about how the performance was conducted. The show I saw was led by one magician for about 50 minutes to one hour. The flow of stories and magic was engaging, and the time passed quickly.

The magician told the story in a cheerful way and encouraged audience participation. There were activities for children to join, with time to take photos along the way. We were also told that photos could be taken after the performance.

Because my child is not yet two, I worried whether they would be able to follow the show. But it was striking to see them staring at it and concentrating. I enjoyed it as an adult as well, so the viewing time did not feel wasted, and I would like to return when my child is a little older.
