Yangyang barbecue restaurant lunch with kids: Yeoyejeong
In short
Yeoyejeong is a barbecue restaurant near Yangyang IC in Yangyang, Gangwon, where I stopped with my child after our trip for meat naengmyeon, meat sotbap, and kimchi jjigae. The spacious parking and dining area, high chair, and drawing supplies made the meal easy with a child. My child enjoyed the sweet marinated ribs, while the rich kimchi jjigae stood out to me.

How was lunch with a child near Yangyang IC?
For the last meal of our Yangyang trip, we ate at Yeoyejeong (여여정) before getting on the highway. It is a barbecue restaurant we stopped by while looking for somewhere to eat with our child. We went slightly past the IC and down a country road, and customers were steadily arriving.

Is there enough parking and space for group meals?
Both the parking lot and restaurant were spacious, so I thought they would work well for a large family or group meal.

The restaurant exterior felt welcoming, and I could smell meat grilling from outside.

After going in, I also looked around the dining area.

We had the lunch special, but seeing the spacious interior, I thought it would also suit eating grilled meat at dinner or holding a group gathering.

What did we choose for lunch?
When we arrived at around 11:20, there were already customers eating. Grilling beef from lunchtime felt a little heavy for us, but many large family groups were grilling meat.

We ordered meat sotbap (rice cooked in a stone pot), meat naengmyeon (cold noodles), and kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew).

Was it easy to wait and eat with a child?
There was a high chair, as well as paper and markers. It was nice that my five-year-old could draw while waiting for the food.

Without us asking, they also brought a children’s spoon and fork. Four side dishes came with the meal, including zucchini and mushroom dishes.
How was the meat naengmyeon to share with a child?
The lunch-special meat naengmyeon came with naengmyeon and pork ribs. Since we planned to share it with our child, I asked for the dadaegi (spicy seasoning paste) to be left out when ordering.

The pork ribs were marinated and served with seasoned chives, so it was savory even without adding dadaegi.

The meat was thick and moist with a satisfying chew, and it went well with the cool naengmyeon. Even my child, who does not usually like meat, ate the sweet marinated ribs well.
How did the meat sotbap and nurungji taste?
The meat sotbap was served with marinated ribs to eat alongside the pot rice.

The white rice was fluffy and mild. Eaten with the marinated ribs, the nutty rice and rib marinade went well together.

The nurungji (crispy scorched rice) was lightly seasoned and nutty, and it was good even with just kimchi.

How was the kimchi jjigae we ordered alongside?

I ordered kimchi jjigae because I had been craving it during the trip, and I was satisfied. The broth tasted rich and slightly thick, as though it had been simmered with meat.

It also had large pieces of meat in it. It went well when I mixed the broth into white rice until it was lightly moistened. I felt the lunch-special price was not burdensome, and the owner served us kindly, so we finished our meal comfortably.
What lunch order cutoffs and hours are listed?
The hours recorded in the original post are 11:30–21:00, Monday through Sunday, with a break time of 15:00–17:00. Lunch meat orders were listed as closing at 13:30, and lunch specials at 14:00. There were already customers eating when I arrived around 11:20, although the recorded opening time was 11:30.
