Tteuldamjip is a restaurant specializing in duck baeksuk (whole duck simmered in broth) and duck bulgogi, in Yulli near Munsu Stadium in Ulsan. The place is huge and has private rooms, so it turns out lots of people come for group gatherings and family meals!

The address is 145 Cheongnyangcheonbyeon-ro, Cheongnyang-eup, Ulju-gun, Ulsan. It's open 11:00–21:00 with a break time of 15:00–16:30. On days when there's a soccer or baseball game at Munsu Stadium, there's no break time.

There's a private parking lot right in front of the restaurant, so parking is easy.

Inside, you can also see an award the restaurant won in the duck dishes category of a Korean consumer industry evaluation for the restaurant business. It's already a well-known Yulli, Ulsan favorite!

The place is big, and duck bulgogi, duck baeksuk and chicken baeksuk are foods people of all ages and genders go for, so it's a popular spot for group gatherings and company dinners.

With private rooms, it's a restaurant I'd recommend for a parent's birthday meal or when you want to eat in peace and quiet.

Order baeksuk at Tteuldamjip 1 hour ahead

The baeksuk dishes at Tteuldamjip have to be ordered an hour in advance! I phoned ahead to order the duck baeksuk and booked a room, and when I arrived everything was already set up so we could eat right away. I was told the duck bulgogi can be grilled on the spot when you arrive, so I didn't reserve that.

Tteuldamjip says it only uses fresh duck slaughtered the same day, and that all the side dishes are made in-house.

How was Tteuldamjip's ot duck baeksuk?

I ordered the ot duck baeksuk, and I liked that adding ot costs nothing extra — it's the same ₩63,000 as the regular baeksuk~ People eat baeksuk a lot as a health booster, so ot baeksuk ends up being what a lot of us reach for.

The owner fishes out the lacquer tree pieces and other ingredients that were simmered with the duck, and it comes out fully cooked, so you can dig in right away~

Duck baeksuk is chewier and nuttier than chicken baeksuk, so personally I prefer it!

Free porridge with your baeksuk at Tteuldamjip

After you've eaten a good amount of the duck baeksuk, ask for porridge and they'll bring it out at no extra charge~ You can also ask for it from the start and eat it together! The portion is big too, enough for four people to eat their fill!

Can you add a half duck of bulgogi at Tteuldamjip?

Just the duck baeksuk felt like not quite enough, so I asked for an extra half duck and they said that was possible! haha I asked them to grill it in the kitchen, and it came out on a plate, easy to eat~

Wrapping the duck bulgogi in a leaf with the house-made side dishes was pure bliss~

There was so much food that I packed up the leftover porridge! I put it in a container with the duck baeksuk broth, and I'm going to freeze it at home and eat it again later.

Who is Tteuldamjip good for: families, groups, game days?

I finished with coffee for dessert. Tteuldamjip in Yulli, Ulsan is big and has private rooms, so it's great for group gatherings, family get-togethers and company dinners. It also has its own parking lot and is near Munsu Stadium, so I'd recommend it even more for a comfortable meal on game days!
