Incheon wood-fired pizza restaurant, Set 3 with margherita: Withwich
In short
Withwich is a Blue Ribbon-listed Western and brunch restaurant on Seonsucheon-gongwon-ro in Guwol-dong, Namdong, Incheon. At Withwich, the popular Set 3 (Italian pasta and wood-fired pizza set for two) brought a margherita pizza, beef brisket jjamppong pasta (in a spicy Korean-Chinese seafood-style sauce), a ricotta cheese salad, and a grapefruit ade and a lemon ade. The chewy fermented-dough margherita and the savory jjamppong pasta sauce make Withwich a place you keep thinking about.

I suddenly wanted Western food for the first time in a while, so I tracked down Withwich, a pasta spot in Guwol-dong. Blue Ribbon restaurants have a high success rate, and this one was already famous as a Guwol-dong brunch place.
Withwich location and parking
Withwich is a Western and brunch restaurant at 36 Seonsucheon-gongwon-ro, Unit 107, Namdong-gu, Incheon. It felt like a Guwol-dong restaurant that has been around for years, so it has a slightly old-fashioned, classic feel.

Parking at Withwich is easy. You just use the underground parking lot of the building. The space was fairly pleasant and the spots were wide.

Since it's a Blue Ribbon restaurant in Guwol-dong, my expectations were high. According to my data from visiting restaurants all over the place, Blue Ribbon places are very likely to be delicious. And Incheon doesn't have that many Blue Ribbon restaurants, so I'm always happy to see one.

Ordering and atmosphere
You order at the kiosk at Withwich. The staff were all kind, so just ask if you don't understand something. The staff were warm, which made me feel good while enjoying brunch in Guwol-dong.

The ceilings are high, so it felt airy, and the customers were of all ages. Lots of families come, and it seemed like people also come for gatherings over brunch. It has a homey, friendly vibe too~

Set 3: Italian pasta and wood-fired pizza set for two
I ordered one of Withwich's popular set menus. I liked the BEST No. 3 option. It includes Italian pasta, wood-fired pizza, salad and drinks. Set 3 is more of a proper meal than a brunch. But looking around, this place is a seriously big deal for sandwiches in Guwol-dong. Lots of people were taking sandwiches to go, and there were plenty of sandwich deliveries too. Next time I'll try the sandwich sets, Set 1 and 2.

Margherita pizza: chewy fermented dough
The margherita pizza was one of the most classic pizza options. It's made with fermented dough, so the crust was chewy. The dough suited my taste perfectly, since I love well-fermented bread like ciabatta. As expected, the heart of pizza is the dough, not the cheese. The cheese was thick and nutty too. Overall it was soft and easy to eat.

Brisket jjamppong pasta: the smoky wok flavor is the kicker
The brisket jjamppong pasta (spicy seafood noodle-style pasta) went well with the soft, mild pizza. The tomato sauce had amazing savory depth. The pasta sauce was really good, so I scraped the plate clean. It had beef brisket and squid, and the king oyster mushrooms had a great texture. The smoky wok flavor in the pasta was the kicker, and the noodles were thin so they soaked up the sauce well. I haven't tried the other pastas so I can't compare, but I highly recommend the brisket jjamppong pasta.

Ricotta cheese salad
The ricotta cheese salad was baby greens generously sprinkled with corn and finished with ricotta cheese. It tasted fairly healthy, and the ricotta softened the slightly bitter baby greens. It was a good salad to eat now and then between bites of pizza and pasta.

Grapefruit ade or lemon ade: which is better?
The set drink at Withwich can also be a coffee such as an Americano. Seeing ades for the first time in a while, we both naturally ordered ades. At this Guwol-dong pasta spot, the grapefruit ade was better than the lemon ade, because it had a stronger fizzy kick. The lemon was on the weak side, so if you want a mild lemon ade, it might suit you.
Withwich overall verdict
Withwich, a Guwol-dong restaurant in Incheon, makes its pizza with fermented dough, so the pizza is chewy. And the brisket jjamppong pasta has a flavor that keeps pulling me back, so I want to eat it again. I suspect the reason it's famous as a Blue Ribbon restaurant in Incheon is its solid fundamentals.
