Korean head spa in Sinnonhyeon: 18 steps + wave styling, Park Jun

Today I visited Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch (박준뷰티랩 강남점), a well-known salon chain right by Sinnonhyeon Station. I heard its head spa goes up to 21 steps. Total jackpot. The vibe is great and there's even a photo booth, such a relaxed salon, so come take a look with me!

How do you get to Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch from Sinnonhyeon Station?

Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch is less than a 5-minute walk from Exit 4 or 5 of Sinnonhyeon Station, which is served by Line 9 and the Shinbundang Line.

If you drive, parking support is offered at Jeil Parking Lot! Note that the lot right below the shop belongs to another store, so be careful~

What are the atmosphere and the first welcome like?

There's a storage area for your clothes and bags, and you can set the locker password yourself. You start in the waiting area with a cup of welcome tea while filling out a questionnaire~

The salon uses the entire 2nd floor, so it feels really spacious, and since it runs by reservation, waiting times are short.

How does the AI scalp analysis before the head spa work?

The head spa here starts with an AI analysis to check your scalp condition, and the treatment goes ahead based on the result! The spa is done in a massage chair, so you might doze off a little, fair warning,,~

How much is the head spa, and what about memberships?

Prices are laid out as in the photos, and the head spa has memberships that get you a discount. Try it once, and if you love it, you'll probably just buy a membership right away,,~~?

They also set out drinks and snacks, and I thought, isn't this what healing is,,? Ta-da.

How long is the 18-step head spa, and does it include styling?

The head spa comes in 15, 18 and 21 steps, and I took the 105-minute 18-step one! Whichever step count you choose, blow-dry and styling are included, so getting pampered and styled before meeting someone must feel sooo good, right!?

Aroma oil selection and scaling

There are three natural aroma oils: for dandruff, hair loss and inflammation. I have a dandruff-type scalp,, so they used the dandruff one! A galvanic sealing brush that can massage the scalp muscles helps absorption, and the improved blood circulation is said to help prevent hair loss~ The scalp scaling is the detox step, with a strong minty scent and a cool breeze, so refreshing~

Soothing scalp pack and steam

Next they brush on a soothing scalp pack, and it's so soft it just puts you in a good mood, hehe. But the cooling sensation is no joke! Then steam boosts the effect and makes the scalp nice and moist to prepare for the next step~~!

Neck and trapezius massage, and shampoo

Next they apply oil and massage the neck and trapezius line, since loosening that area is said to help relieve scalp fatigue! They use a stone-like massage device and something like a cupping device?, and it felt warm, relaxing and comfortable.

Then comes the shampoo, a natural-ingredient one that contains stem cells, they said! They put it in between the hair sections with a dropper-like nozzle?, so it seemed to penetrate well and wash out all the impurities! A Y-stick tool gives a scalp-massage feel, and it was fun to realize that all these different tools each play their own part~

Massage chair rest and tonic finish

After that you rest in the massage chair during the spa step, and I could feel the impurities that had been loosened up leaving and circulation getting going, which helped with recovery from fatigue and stress!

They say the tiny particles of the hair-growth tonic get into the scalp and help ease hair loss. From here, a different stylist took over

and even with the tea stick step, she kept up a comfortable conversation, so I wrapped up all drowsy and relaxed!

What were the scalp and styling results after the head spa?

For the blow-dry and styling, she said waves would suit me, so I asked her to go with that, hehe. After the care they took a photo of my scalp again, and it was clean with no dandruff. And the styling even suits me perfectly, doesn't it?

There's a service where you can take photos in a photo booth, a four-cut photo strip! I did three cuts, and you can choose the type, and being able to keep a record of my pretty hair, hehe. The service is so good that it stays in my memory.

Huge thanks to my designer who gave my scalp such a treat. Next time I'll visit for a hippie perm or a cloud perm. Fighting!
